So, go to Jasmin for solid and ‘proper’ (not messed up fusion!!!!) Indian food that is quite filling. However, don’t go for the service or anything ‘fussy’ ambience-wise. The dishes we are had a mix of OK to excellent elements. Mostly we felt the spice/flavour...was great but the meat/key ingredient was way overcooked in each dish. That was absolutely the case for the vindaloo, that had great kick but the meat was so incredibly tough. The garfish special was quite fun but, unsurprisingly, the subtle fish flavour disappeared under the weight of the Indian flavours. Actually, it was the side dish of seasonal veg in coconut sauce that was one of the nicest dishes! Unfortunately, some of the staff seemed to have a ‘not my job’ attitude and also after main course we waited an age for our dishes to be cleared and then no offer of coffee, dessert, more wine etc ever came. Just left for dead sitting there! So we headed to the counter to pay and exit, feeling reasonably uninspired by our evening at a restaurant that is, regardless, clearly very popular.More

Went with the family after 15 years and Amrik the owner of the restaurant was very courteous in welcoming us. We ordered Hungry Menu and each dish from entrees to mains was delicious. My personal favourite are samosas andPrawn curry. The food tasted still the...same even after 15 years. This place is a Macca of Indian restaurant and one must dine here. Note- this place is closed on Sunday and Monday.More

Came to the jasmin after hearing good things about the place, however was a bit disapointed. Ordered the chicken tikka masala for main, the meat was thigh meat a bit fatty and the sauce very ordinary almost watery. Had some of the beef curry bland...flavours. The rice was pre dished up on the plate already served when it came out, paltry portion size and Prefer own rice serving. Would not come here again, in one word, average, nice ambience in the restaurant thoughMore

We never miss an opportunity to go to Jasmin when we visit Adelaide from Queensland. Sometimes we go to dinner on the first day and lunch on the last day of our visits as the food on offer is amazing and it takes 2 visits...to have all our favorites. Coupled with the great service this is definitely a not to be missed dining experience in a city blessed with an incredible culinary scene.More

We have been going to this restaurant for many many years. The quality of the food and service has never in all the time been nothing but the best. We often buy a few take away meals back to our country town so we can...enjoy at a later date. It is a place if you have guests you can rely on that they will have a great meal good wine selection and fantastic service.More

Use to work in Adelaide about 10 years ago and this was always a ‘go to’ restaurant, so I was looking forward to trying the place out again. The experience started with a really friendly greeting, which sets the tone for the dinner experience. For...starters we had meat samosas and blue cheese nan - chose the blue cheese nan as we’d seen it recommended - neither disappointed and were very tasty. Mains consisted of beef vindaloo, aloo gobi and tikka dhal - wow what flavours! If you like hot curries you’ll live the vindaloo, meat was so tender and as well as being hot there was plenty of subtle flavours. All dishes top notch, reflective of this Indian restaurant still being one of Adelaide’s favourites. We were also given two pieces of chicken tikka with yoghurt sauce - that a was one of the specials of the day and we were asked to try it - again the flavours were amazing. Great range of wines and beers, we chose a local boutique beer from Adelaide hills which was recommended - great accompaniment to the curry. Great restaurant, great food, amazing staff - definitely book as they are always busy.More

We have eaten here several times while visiting Adelaide. As usual, the food, ambience and service were a cut above many Indian restaurants. A delicious and thoroughly enjoyable return visit

We decided on a take away curry after many poor quality takeaways and delivered meals from many restaurants we decided it was time to check out the Jasmin again. We had heard many good things recently about the food and the service. We remembered the...first time we dined in at the jasmin. It was the same night the visiting Sri Lankan cricket team were dining there. A very good sign! Having been brought up on Sri Lankan Curry i was keen to test out the Jasmin. We have been going there over many years but not been this year. So glad we decided on a return visit. We decided to order a takeaway as it was too late to make a table booking in the busy restaurant. The food was outstanding. We tried a range of dishes and all were delicious. Lots of taste. Great spice combinations. Bottom line...an excellent place to eat if you want a genuine Curry. Certainly the best in Adelaide , by far!More

Apologies. I have only just seen this question. From memory, it was licensed. But a quick phone call to the restaurant should answer that question for you. enjoy!
