Wifey booked lunch together with friend after recommendation from another friend. Greeted at the front desk and were requested to record our names and contact no. due to Covid requirements. We were sitted and the menu given to us. They have the 5 course or...7 course options at $90 and $115 respectively. Both my wife and I had the 5 course whilst our friend had the 7 course. I had the no meat option as I do not eat red meat. We also ordered a side dish of broccolini, wine and beer. The food were served course by course starting with the snacks of 4 different starters which were delicious. Then came the kingfish, the asparagus, the barramundi, the roasted eggplant for me ( wagyu beef for my wife and friend), lemon parfait and lastly the chestnut cake with apple ice cream. [ the asparagus and the lemon parfait is not included in the 5 course option]. The brocolini came together with the eggplant and wagyu beef. The servings were not that big ( maybe this is fine dining) and luckily I am not a big eater so for lunch it was ok. Of all the course, we enjoyed the snacks with the 4 starter plates most. The rest was average. My eggplant was not cooked thoroughly as the center was still hard. I ate the rest and left the under cooked eggplant on the plate. When the waitress came to collect the plates, I told her about the undercooked eggplant and she apologised and said she will passed on my feedback to the chef. Both my wife and our friend found the wagyu beef underseasoned and abit tough. Though we enjoyed the 2 over hours lunch, the meal was just average to us. Whether our feedback on the undercooked eggplant was taken note of we are not informed as no one came back to let us know. The total bill came to $300 plus.More

We had the 5 course degustation menu for lunch paired with wine. The service was excellent along with the food and wine. Interesting ingredients cooked beautifully.

Had the 7 course degustation lunch and the food was incredible. Every course was exquisite really tasty. I reckon my favourite would have to be the barramundi dish, but oy marginal over the rest of the dishes. The service was exceptional glass was never empty...and explained each dish to perfection. All in all was a great experience well worth the every cent.More

I have recently been medically diagnosed that I can no longer eat gluten. Gluten makes me really ill. When booking the table, I asked if they could accommodate a totally gluten free meal & there was no hesitation that they could accommodate my needs. Eating...out is quite stressful as I have no control of how the food is prepared but as soon as we arrived we were advised that my gluten free needs were important & chef had already been informed. We chose the 5 course menu & several times during the meal, the excellent waiter confirmed that my food was gluten free & how that had been achieved with no chance of cross-contamination. I was able to enjoy the excellent quality food without worrying. Each course was prepared to perfection & tasted sublime. My wife chose to have the matched wine service & each wine was fantastic. Not only did the restaurant serve an superb meal, with high quality service but they put me at ease, which I totally commend them.More

A solid dinner but a fair amount of room for improvement. Best bits: lovely outlook of course, creative snacks, flowing service of the courses, perfectly light desserts at the end (after four courses) were great, happy to accomodate a dessert swap due to a taste...preference was appreciated and the AMAZING king fish dish (black sesame made it a very special flavour combination). Also pretty reasonable value at $90 for five courses. ‘Less good’ bits’: had to ask for our wine to be topped up, no butter knives as you are meant to share the spatula which isn’t really practical and both ‘protein main dishes’ were far too overcooked and chewy - further, the pork was entirely overpowered by the crispy onion anyway ....so a little disappointed by the ‘main courses’ really hence 3 not 4 for the rating.More

We had our mothers 60 th here a FEW years ago and the food was amazing delicious fabulous I can’t recommend it any better . So my sister was looking for something to do for her 50 th and I suggest this restaurant and omg...things haven’t changed at all . Fabulous surroundings amazing helpful staff and the food omg it a flavour explosion just love it the chef and the kitchen staff are very talented. Would I recommend this restaurant HELL YESSSSSSMore

We had lunch here on a Saturday for lunch. We picked the tasting menu, and my husband did the wine flight. Very reasonably priced for fresh and beautiful produce (abalone/scallops, tuna, wagyu, pork belly) and polite, helpful and cheerful service. Situated just off the fig...tree lined Murdoch Avenue, this was a wonderful venue, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Highly recommended and should be even more highly recognized by us locals!More
