We made a booking and on arrival were told we had to sit outside. Our booking had been confirmed, but we were not notified of where we would be placed. We preferred to be seated inside and after discussion, we were given a duitable table....We ordered our drinks and a bowl of olives. We asked three times before the olives arrived. I ordered garfish which were overcooked and served with hard baked potatoes and a limp salad. My husband had veal with mushrooms which was adequate. We waited for over half an hour for our meal. A forgettable experience.More

Thanks for your feedback. Why you choose to do this on a public forum rather than via the follow up email is disappointing. Unless you specify where you’d prefer to seat we will make decision depending on a range of factors which include at this...More

We visited on Saturday night after seeing a play at the Adelaide Festival. We had a booking for 8pm. We waiting at the door for over 10 minutes with multiple staff running in and out to the outside area and not one of them even...made eye contact with us. We were about to walk out when some one asked ‘are you right?’ What sort of welcome is that?! When I said we had a booking we were seated inside. We had to ask for service after another 10 minutes when someone asked whether we would like some water and that never came. Had to ask again for service to order our meals and wine and ask again for our water. Meals came quickly as we both ordered the ragu to make it easy. It was only room temperature at best. Then had to follow up the wine that never came. Then had to call someone again to ask for pepper and Parmesan. We could have gone home for a meal but thought we would support an Adelaide Restaurant. It seemed the staff couldn’t cope with the number of tables in and out. Pretty disappointing as have been coming here for years and it is usually very reliable.More

We were staying at the Crowne Plaza which is next door so we dropped in here for dinner before going to a show later in the evening at the fringe festival. When we arrived we were the only diners who didn't already have food, everyone...else was eating or almost finished. We were seated and ordered wine. After about 5 mins we were asked if we were ready to order we asked for a little more time and that was a big mistake because it took almost 20 mins to get there attention again to place our order. We ordered our food and more wine as our glasses were now empty. After another 20 minutes I asked how long our food would be and was told 5 minutes. During this whole time order after order was going out the door being picked up by food delivery services. I noticed the table that had arrived after us were also looking around trying to get someones attention to ask where there food was. 10 minutes after being told that the meal would be 5 minutes there was no sign of it arriving and the guy at the other table was at the bar asking where his food was. By this time about an hour after we walked in the door we would have had to inhale the food to make it to our show in time so I went up and cancelled our order and received indifference and no apology, I then asked if they expected me to pay for the wine and bread we'd had when we were living with no dinner. They took the bread off the bill and charged us $40 for the wine. Unless you're ordering takeaway don't bother because they don't care about you and based on the other reviews the foods not that great either but I would't know would I because I waited for an hour and received no food.More

Unimpressed with my dinning experience. A simple request to have some cheese melted on oyster Kilpatrick was decline by the kitchen staff. Main meals were delivered to our table before our entrees arrived and the base of the pizza that we ordered was over cooked....I had not eaten at this restaurant before but had heard good things about it. After my experience tonight I would not go back again.More

Visiting Adelaide and staying in cbd. A friend referred this restaurant for take away. While the food was OK, have to question their hygiene in this current client. No masks, no gloves. Surely staff cooking, handling and serving food should have gloves and masks on?...Is this unrealistic? Pizza was good Calamari was averageMore

Hi there, SA Health guidelines do not mandate the use of face masks in commercial kitchens. The same applies to gloves. Commercial extraction systems as can be found in a restaurant, pull hundreds of cubic metres of air out of a the room per minute....More

We ordered the zingarella for all 3 guesses on the night. We were all very disappointed when the food came out! There were not one single whole prawn in our pasta. All broken pieces and only few pieces in it. All pasta and sauce. Given...the dish coasted $32.50 each, it was a complete rip off. When we complained, the head waiter or may be the boss - named Frank, laughed and said next time will be better - couldn't get local prawn. What a bull excuse, If the ingredient wasn't available, then advise the customer before hand and shouldn't charge the full price. Never go back again.More

My husband and I had to be in the city all day yesterday, so I made a booking early to get into Amalfi's for lunch. WOW! THE BEST Barramundi fillets and the SAUCE with capers was simply divine! Melt in your mouth GOODNESS! I paired...the Barramundi with a Shaw Smith Sauvignon Blanc. Everything was perfect ~ the barra was one of the featured dishes on the Specials' Board. My husband chose the veal from the menu and commented, too, their sauce NEVER disappoints. As often as we get to Adelaide, we always try to include Amalfi's. Superb service ~ outstanding meals. Thanks tremendously. 😎✌💥🎉💥 Patricia Gordon-Stevens Kapunda, South AustraliaMore

We arrived early evening so only 3 other tables with patrons. Got our wine and my food order wrong! When they eventually arrived with my order, my partner had already finished his (he does not eat fast)! They then left both finished plates on the...table until we paid the bill. Looks like Uber Eats orders take priority. Food was average and overpriced. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending it to anyone.More

With reduced capacity and more people spending time at home, Uber eats and the food delivery sector has definitely shaken our up our business flow. I appreciate your comments, we’re striving to get the correct balance of timing, work flow and in house customer experience.
