Excellent little bistro, we came for dinner, the menu covered all the bases we wanted and the wine list had enough in it to interest us. Good find.

Fabulous little find in the city. Unpretentious, chic and intimate. The menu was interesting. We had Venison Wellington which was amazing and Duck Brest cooked in whisky and honey. It was lovely but just a little too pink for my liking. For entree the Pissaladeire...was fantastic and the Dessert Taste Tatin was delicious. All beautifully presented. Loved it. Would definitely visit again when in AdelaideMore
Bistro style fee and ambiance. Friendly staff and efficient. Specials for the night amazing. Foie gras smooth and tasty. Fillet mignon with truffle sauce generous and cooked to perfection. Venison Wellington tasty and great flavour. Amazing and great value wine to match (Yarra Yering no2)....Only negative - would be good to know the cost of specials by waitress. Otherwise wonderful meal and night.More
Went with a group and we all loved our meals. Good service too. It had a great vibe about it. Very homely!
Incredible value. Polite and accomodating staff. Fast wait times. I just wish they weren’t out of croquettes. Nevertheless, an experience worth skipping your comfort for.
Last night in Adelaide couldn’t decide what we wanted to have . Read about it and had walked past previous night. Menu looked nice . No regrets. We chose the shared option which said 3 courses, didn’t expect such a great variety. Highly recommend it....The pate was one of the best I’ve had.More
We ordered our entrees and mains, also a few spirits before our mains with a nice bottle of Red to go with our mains, We have been here a few times also. I ordered the Escargot with butter garlic with walnuts, it’s my favourite dish...here, my partner ordered from the specials board the Fillet Mignon and ordered it medium rare, my mains came out perfect BUT the Mignon was soooo well done we had to return it, after about 25 minutes, a couple had just walked in and they ordered there meals and had them in 10 minutes, meanwhile we are still waiting for the Mignon, in the end we cancelled to Mignon and the second bottle of wine, we were actually having a date night where no expense is spared, we were willing to pay $$$$$ on the night it that was not too be, so very disappointed with the experience, don’t think we will be returning in a hurry.More
Underwhelming and noisy with a take it or leave it attitude. Food ok, but let down by poor service. Management hostile and defensive to genuine feedback which is a shame because there’s a good restaurant lurking there under different ownership.
Got seated in the basement. Loved the ambience and vibe. All the food was delicious. Wine list was good too. A little bust but always service with a smile!
What a delight. We were visiting Adelaide and came across this restaurant online. As soon as we entered we were met with a pleasant greeting and seated. There were three of us and we had entrees of liver parfait, escargot and baked cheese. For mains...two of us had the duck (absolutely delicious) and one had the steak with hand cut chips, and we shared the cauliflower side, washed down with a bottle of Coates Pinot Noir. The food, the service and the relaxed vibe made for an enjoyable night. The only thing missing was the ability to eat dessert as we were too full of delicious food and wine. Thank you!More
This is a great little restaurant on a corner on Waymouth St in the city. We've been wanting to dine there for awhile and were surprised at how many people thought the same thing on a Wednesday night. There were more than usual gluten free...options on the menu which was appreciated and my choice the duck salad was perfect. My husband enjoyed his steak which was cooked as requested. A few more options of wine by the glass would be good. Excellent service from attentive staff and happy that their website showed an accurate menu for May.More
Delicatessen is a favourite lunch venue for me as I work nearby but this was my first dinner visit. It did not disappoint! The four of us decided to share three entrees/starters: 2 types of snails, baked brie and prawn & salmon fish cakes. For...mains, two of us had the duck with mash (I had decided ahead of time that I was having this & it was a great decision) and the others had the steak special and beef cheeks. We also chose a couple of vegetable sides. Although we were getting full after all that and it was close to the end of our sitting, the friendly wait staff suggested that we could move to the bar for dessert. We opted for the bar downstairs in the cellar and managed to make short work of madeleines with citrus curd, tarte tartin, nougat parfait and creme brulee. A perfect way to end a superb meal. A special shout-out to the staff. All our wait staff were friendly and attentive and that complemented the excellent food from the kitchen staff.More
Nice little coffee shop/restaurant. We went for breakfast. Coffee was ok but not good enough for a second cup. Breakfast menu limited. We ordered a fresh fruit and yoghurt bowl and a Granola bowl but got 2 fruit bowls. They were delicious.
In one word - ‘EXCELLENT’ . Great welcome, very helpful and friendly but respectful and knowledgeable wait staff and the food was over and above expectations. The steaks were cooked to perfection as ordered, bouillabaisse an absolute delight and the duck leg dish sublime. Highly...recommended .More
We had pork scratchings & croquettes for entrée- delicious but too filling because of the fat content. For mains we had the lyonnaise duck salad (wow!), beef cheeks and the tomato salad. All good but too much for both of us. The server didn’t advise...otherwise and we were unfortunately too full for dessert. It would have been good to get more direction from staff and even the suggestion to visit the ground floor for drinks to get a break before dessert. Nobody even approached us to see if we wanted a coffee. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious but there’s room for improvement for this place to be really good. Give it a go and decide for yourself.More
