Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So I gave you a third go. Below is how badly it went. I am writing to advise you of the absolutely poor quality of the food we received from The Buckingham Hotel today. The chicken schnitzel Parmigiana was all stuck to the alfoil so...not one bit of cheese was on the actual schnitzel. I cannot believe how someone thought how it was packed would sufficiently make the cut?? The mushroom gravy was normal gravy with a mushroom cut up and shoved on top, not even cooked. It was like The Chef was taking the absolute piss out of what he was serving up. Words nearly escaped us. This was the first part of the meal to make us laugh and gag. The Pea and Ham soup was the next to be unveiled and our jaws dropped at how thin and lacking ingredients it was. By this stage I know we should not be surprised. But considering this is my third complaint not only about your staff's service but the poor, poor quality of food that is produced by your Chefs. So onto the garlic bread, this was a slice of white bread with garlic smeared on top?? Limp and not appetizing in the least. Whoever thought this would fly as actual garlic bread must be poorly lacking in cooking skills. Honestly, by this stage, we thought you may have a 10-year-old working in the kitchen and so far we had 2 meals already uneatable. Next up to the plate was The Seaford Medley with Tartare Sauce. There was not one piece of fish??? I cannot describe how awful it looked and the bite that was taken had to be spat out. The tartare sauce was the kind you squeeze. Any self-respecting Hotel and Chefs would have been ashamed to serve up what was delivered to us. I feel strongly about informing you of how bad our experiences have been at your Hotel. It is a local of ours and it would embarrass me to take anyone I know there and would most certainly not recommend it as a place to go. I would be interested in hearing how others have fared with their experiences.More

Where do I start? The terrible customer service? Not able to resolve anything? Half the meal was missing. Called to complain and to begin with the manager said she did not get it all. She then reneged and said, “Oh it was there. You can...come and drive and get it ". Well if that is how I wanted to get my meal, I would not have paid a ridiculously large delivery & service fee to get it delivered???? Honestly, I was very disappointed. The food that arrived was substandard. I would not recommend this hotel.More

Wife’s chicken salad was in edible. Not sure what the meat looking stuff was but didn’t look or taste like chicken. The salad wasn’t much better. Left most of it The seafood basket was over cooked bits left from a budget frozen box of deep...fried bits. Can’t explain better than that I think the waiter was also the cook - can’t use chef ! If thinking about eating there. DONT. Go elsewhere !More

It has always been a great place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is some of the best pub grub you can get.

After a gentle ride througt The Parklands my dining companion and I were ready to enjoy our Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed with the menu options and I thoroughly enjoyed my Lamb shank with mashed potatoes. green beans and carrots. My dining companion enjoyed...the Fisherman's Basket. The staff were pleasant and efficient and added to our enjoyment.More

We went here for the smorgasboard with our children after reading about it on their website. The food was not as good as they made it out to be and we were all disappointed. Staff were great and friendly. Price was reasonable due to a...discount given by the staff.More

Purchased a Groupon voucher for a discounted smorgasbord experience as we hadn’t been to the “Buck” for years. It has a good reputation for the seafood on offer including prawns - not many venues include them these days. Overall, the food was very good and...the choices would satisfy any palate. However, the down side was that the facility is looking pretty old and tired - it needs a good renovation to bring it up to date.More

Went for a family meal, food was fantastic. A man with special needs sat at the next table. Matt one of the waiting staff in the smorgasbord area was so compassionate and willing to help. He got the man same soup and even butterd the...man's rolls for him. Such a lovely caring man.More

We were delighted with the choices of 'hot' dishes on offer and the constant replacing of dishes as they were consumed. Setting is light and airy with very pleasant attentive staff.

The Buck has been serving up a renowned smorgasbord for as long as I can remember- and that’s a long time. Quality meats and salads along with hot veggies, juicy prawns and seafood, curries and so forth abound. Good dessert and cheeseboard options as well...as fresh donuts and help yourself soft serve ice cream. A long time favourite with the whole familyMore

Buffet was constantly empty. By 7 some foods weren’t being replaced. Advertise potato salad, there were none, piping hot donuts were dry over cooked donuts. A lot of the food wasn’t labelled, so if you have allergies good luck or just stay away. Seafood was...good again always empty. Mussels were all gone by 7:15, prawns were gone by 6:50, a few more were bought out a handful at a time even when tables were full and more customers were coming in. A single piece of pizza sat by itself for the whole hour we were there, not replaced not removed. Whole top shelf including garlic bread was dry and over heated from sitting too long. What food was there was ok but you need to be there as soon as the door opens or you miss out. We had a $20 voucher from the accommodation we stayed, definitely not worth the value at normal price of $35. But $20 ok just.More

It’s been here forever and nothing appeared to have changed. However the food is still good and you can certainly get a good feed but not like the old days. We would still go back. Kids love it.

Decor dated but it doesnt take away from the fact the food was excellent. I am NOT a great lover of buffet style eating, but this was amazing, the seafood fresh, salads excellent, as were all the hot food dishes. Everything was replaced as soon...as the serving dishes were empty. Staff were all very friendly too! I would definitely go for a buffet (smorgasbord as they call it here) again!More

Gone down hill. Tastes done down. Not worth value for money. Some of the food was too dry. Basically most of the food looked tired. I am very sad to say i shall never visit this part of the place any more.
