Popped in for brunch this morning and after deciding on the brioche I was recommended by the owner to try his new poached pear brioche. It was delicious the poached pear and the variety of berries all with the cinnamon dusting was so flavoursome, and...the Marscapone was light and fluffy. I then recommended he add it to the menu permanently . You can thank me once you’ve tried it for yourself ;) The friendly, personal service was lovely and has such a nice vibe. To top it off, we had the best coffee since arriving in Adelaide.More

As the top rated brunch place we had to gave it a go but if you don’t want the breakfast platter (which did look amazing but waaay too much for us) well the choice is quite limited. I ordered poached egg on toast with avocado....The good point the eggs were cooked perfectly. The bad points the avocado was totally unseasoned and you got 1 slice of bread. As it happens 1 slice was enough for me but for $19 I though it all looked a bit stingy. So I’m basically saying ok basic fare but way over priced and over hyped.More

On a very quick work trip from Sydney, decided to stop in for a bite to eat for lunch. Had the crab spaghetti which was lovely and very filling. Service was perfect and meal great. Reasonable prices basically could not fault!!

When there for brunch on valentines day. Upon arrival we were quickly seated outside on a beautiful day. We get told we can have the breakfast menu as well as the lunch for a one off on the day. We went to order the breakfast...platter and another dish however, I host (who I assume is the owner) said the platter would be enough to fill us. So started off great, the service and honesty is a big plus for me. Not trying to take every penny from us was good to see. We also got a milkshake and a Juice. The juice was nice and sweet, while the milkshake was also great, not too syrupy or milky. The platter comes out after around 20 minutes and visually, it is one of the best meals I've seen in my life. Every inch of the board was covered and the little dessert on the side was gorgeous. So anyway down to the actual taste of the food. Overall most of it tasted pretty nice, however it wasn't the best. I tried the bacon first and ahhh it's cold and I just got it. Another gripe I had was the abundance of mushrooms and lack of tomato (ironic huh?). Favourite parts of the platter was the chorizo and the sauces that came with it. Maybe needed more sauce if both people were to eat it, however my girlfriend didn't and I finished most of it quickly. Service and presentation was a 5/5 Food was a 3.5/5More

Visited on the recommendation of family. Probably one of the best cafe breakfasts we've had. Food was flawless as was the service. The young lady tending our table even asked if the egg for our 8 yr old granddaughter was cooked enough. Music selection in...background was great too and just at a nice volume. Highly recommended.More

We visited the Messy Tomato's and had the breakfast platters for the six of us. It was awesome with variety of food, well cooked and generous serving. Service was quick and the staff were extremely friendly including the cooks. Had a chat to the owner...and he was great. Highly recommend going there for breakfast and or dinner.More

I thought this cafe would be better given reviews and felt 2/5 was perhaps a bit harsh given my one visit. Whilst I waited, the staff in the kitchen didn’t make any acknowledgment to me — whilst they were seemingly not overly busy either —...so the host (perhaps this is normal) had to wait for a free moment to make my smoothie. I think I overheard a staff member mention it was the usual frozen fruit they buy so perhaps the smoothies are ordinarily better but I would not return for one like I had again. The mango smoothie was weak in flavour and overpriced it felt, especially considering other options in the area. The venue and location are good, and it seems popular for coffee and food, but based on my experience and so many options in Adelaide I think I’ll look around maybe before potentially going back.More

We came here for a birthday brunch, and were so impressed by the food and service. Can't wait to return. Tony was so accomodating and attentive, and was even able to conjure up stools with backs when we asked for some.
