This place has such a lovely romantic ambience and decor. The food is delicious! The only reason it wasn't 5 stars this time was because I found it really hard to get the wait staff's attention - I would have drunk more wine if I'd...been able to order it!More

We were really looking forward to returning to one of our favourite Adelaide restaurants. It was a good familiar situation to be back at S2 but it didn’t leave us 100% satisfied as had mostly been the case on previous occasions. The high quality of...the food is always maintained and it was no different on this visit, and we continue to think it’s one of the best Asian restaurants in Adelaide (the hot Thai fried chicken kicked off beautifully!!!) but it might be time for them to get out of their rut......the pages in the menus we were handed were actually falling out. It’s time to refresh! They don’t need new menu items; just new paper! And maybe some new wine options! Also, between our last three visits the specials board hasn’t changed once. That can’t be coincidental. Their Chu Chee flavoured dishes are EXCELLENT -amazing flavour- but this time we found we were scratching around the plate looking for the sauce. It should have been plentiful (i.e. drenched) over the barramundi. But i suppose what was present on the plate was awesome.... Like many places, our wine glasses were whisked away before they were empty. At S2 I only blame their enthusiasm (or is it a desire to sell more wine??!?). Hmmmm. Finally, we were not offered table water from the start. At an Asian restaurant where we always order additional HOT chilli on the side, that probably should be an improved aspect of service to automatically supply water!More

Quite simply some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten. Great service, funky vibe and feel and killer menu. Had a great night in this little gem. We’re back later in Dec for another round!

My friend and I had dinner at S2 On Flinders, we didnt have a booking and luckily were seated for a quickl early dinner. The venue is very small seating only about 20 people inside but there are a couple of table outside, would be...perfect on a warm night. The food was delicious and our little pocket rocket waitress was amazing. Her food knowledge and professionalism should be acknowledged.More

We are struggling to think of a restaurant we love more in the city at the moment. The last time we visited it was 5/5 and here, the same again... The bubbly enthusiasm from the lady who appears always to be the head waitress (we’ve...always been lucky enough to have her greet and attend to us each visit) is phenomenal. We just don't know how she keeps it up but her cheeriness is enough to make you smile from start to finish and even laugh a little too... she was so attentive and frenetic about topping up our wine that she did so twice in the space of ONE minute!!! We certainly had no hope of ever getting to the bottom of an empty glass, which is brilliant!! The music is just right style-wise to fit in with a slightly formal dining room (tiny space, but atmospheric and ‘grown up’-feeling with the white table cloths and paper), although it probably could go down one notch on the volume dial. We could not fault the spring rolls, satays, duck curry or stir fried barramundi, especially with a bit of extra chilli added - a nice little chilli pot delivered to us when we mentioned we are not afraid of ‘heat’. It was great! As our waitress said, how can you beat the ‘great Aussie fish Barra’.... well, you can’t when teamed so expertly with amazing Asian flavours. Perfection. Tiny suggestions: It would be good to have a small ‘scraps’ bowl to put the ‘used’ edamame into. A bit of lemon or lime in the tap water jugs would help too and, finally, a more acceptable price on the seasonal green veg options would be appreciated. $20 for veg is too much when you consider the mains are around $30. That’s perhaps picky as we didn’t see the size of the greens plates but I’ve never paid that before for a side dish, even in a high end restaurant. Otherwise, we are looking forward to finding a reason to return soon......but do we need one!?!?! It’s an intimate place with incredibly good quality control that is clearly doing really well in a non-mainstream street in Adelaide - well done and just stay small and perfect!!!More

We love the ambience, staff are attentive and nice. The food is great, choose the level of spice. It is a really nice neighbourhood gem in the city. Prices fair.

Very friendly staff without being annoyingly so. Food was delicious, fresh and level of spiciness was as requested. Only small criticism is that the main course came before we had finished our entree. Will come back.

I came here with a group of 7 people for my birthday for dinner. Upon arrival we were friendly greeted, welcomed to their restaurant and shown to our table. The service couldn’t have been better, we were looked after very well. The restaurant itself is...quite small, but it’s cosy and presented beautifully. The tables can be a little small especially for larger groups, but not a huge issue. The food was fresh and very delicious, but the presence of chilli was almost too much for a few family members who only asked for a ‘medium’ heat leaving them very hot and sweaty. Overall a lovely experience and beautiful Thai food. Definitely check this place out!More
