What a great café, pleasant staff who generally seem happy you’ve dropped. And the coffee is first. Pity I don’t live local and able to enjoy this coffee daily.

Came back here as the first time I was here a few years back, I found this place great. Even though alI tables were taken, the friendly staff squeezed me in to a reserved table in the back. I ordered eggs Benedict with crispy bacon...and a mug of coffee. The large mug came out hot and yummy with my breakfast coming out soon after. The breakfast was great and bacon was indeed crispy. Even after I finished my breakfast, my mug of coffee was still hot. So, staff were super friendly and professional, food delicious and coffee super! Well done, see you next time!More

Tide was the perfect place for breakfast on the last day of our family holiday. Varied menu had something for everyone, generous portions, nicely presented and delicious food. Cheerful, friendly staff and great service. Awesome location with indoor and covered outdoor seating very close to...The Strand. We’d return to Townsville just to eat there again! Thank you :)More

Looking for refuge from the heat, a feed and a cool drink with two little ones including a three month old bub, it was only after we made our purchases that we were informed that we were not welcome to sit in the aircon but...that only outside dining was available. When said we would take our order to go we where met with an attitude from management. Will not be coming here again!More

Tide has quickly become our favourite local cafe in Townsville! We are always so welcomed and they are so friendly !! Food is big and so delicious!! Good coffee which is a must!! And such good prices, 10/10

I grabbed the last table available at 10:20am which was proptly cleared by a younger male. I ordered Benedict Bacon, an Espresso and Latte served by another friendly male who made sure I was being helped, he could have been an owner or manager. Benedict...was lovely and came out literally less than 5 minutes even before my coffees. Coffees arrived 60 seconds later. Espresso was ok but a little bitter or too fine, could also be the type of beans, extraction got messy on edges of cup (photo). Latte was also ok, residual coffee grind at base of glass from not clearing previously extracted coffee or not cleaning the group handle before extraction; this causes a slight change in taste towards the end of the coffee, especially if we stir in a sugar. 5/5 for food, service and speed 3.5/5 for coffee Nice location even though it's by the street side.More

Despite staff are never welcoming here, I have been here couple of times because I like the food here. However today, I went for brekky and the old lady with short hair in the counter was super rude. I was shocked by her behavior. how...can someone be so rude while working in a hospitality sector? I didnt expect anyone to be nice but didnt expect someone to be rude either. She just ruined my day. Never going back again.More
