I planned my 40th birthday which was so easy, smooth and stress free with the help from the team at Jam Corner. Ang and her team are so easy to work with and accommodating to all our requests. Would happily book again!

This is an extremely good Restaurant with Great food. Sitting inside appears very formal and outside is casual and relaxed.... But really it's the same venue and service would be as good in both. The food is another level, I ordered the Salmon Sashimi entree,...followed by the Duck breast main and a Sweet Noir Desert. Salmon was served with pickled cucumber and clams(pippies)... All very simple but tasty. The Duck breast was crispy but pink, served with a cherry compote, potato fondant, witlof and a reduction jus.... Pretty much it, very beautiful, but would've liked some twice cooked roast potatoes to help fill the plate rather than one piece of witlof and one potato 'gem'. Then it was all topped off with the very decadent desert of Sweet Noir- best described as two spheres of pandan semi freddo/mousse wrapped in dark chocolate shell. The pandan flavour - a cross between coconut and vanilla in a green mousse, very vibrant colour against the dark chocolate. Overall a decadent meal... But do order sides with mains, if your only ordering one course, or its a stop at Macca's on the way home. A very extensive wine list with selection of bottles from Wa, Tas. Marlborough and Martinborough regions of NZ and nearly all other wine regions in Australia.More

Everything was incredibly average and in no way matched the exorbitant price we were charged. You would expect this quality at a corner cafe where at least it's fast and cheap. But for a whopping $170 and a long wait for the food, parts of...the meal were either over or undercooked (plus things on the menu that weren't available so had to settle). You can get a better steak at somewhere like 'Hogs Breath'. I think they're going for 'fine dining' but it felt like we were in a pub atmosphere and the food was a giant miss. We left the second we were done to walk down the street to Cactus Jacks in search of dessert that wouldn't let us down. Won't be returning anytime soon.More

Had a two course meal here at lunch. The service was amazing. The first course was goat wontons… delicious. Second course battered barramundi… possibly the best battered fish I have ever eaten. Everything was fresh and delicious. My ONLY negative was the booth seats are...super uncomfortable and really gave me a back ache. Prices were reasonable. I will be back.More

Went there recently while on holidays in Townsville. The food and service is a good as anything you can get in a capital city. I especially loved their inclusion of local produce in many of the dishes. Only wish I can return to Townsville so...I can go there again.More

Jam’s decor aesthetics are very pleasing. The staff are extremely friendly, efficient, and very good at what they do, and it’s evident they love their job The menu is varied and the meals are very good. The meals’ presentation is outstanding. It’s obvious the chefs love...what they do also. We were a table of five ladies and all of us agreed that our experience at Jam was up there with the best. There was only one fault. Yeah, sad hey? It was uncomfortably noisy. It was packed. We all agreed that the acoustics needs to be addressed. It was the only flaw. I’ve eaten at Jam three times. Two times for lunch and now once for dinner. I’ll definitely be back. If I lived in Townsville they’d see me more often.More

My husband and I went to Jam Corner for coffee and dessert after dinner drinks etc. We dont often eat out but when we do we enjoy it and treat ourselves. They had just had a cancellation and we were offered the table after initially...being told if we didn't have a booking they didn't have any free tables. We were walking away and they had a cancellation and invited us back. I mentioned that we would like dessert. Almost immediately the gents attitude changed and he told me in no uncertain terms that he would not be seating us for a 15 dollar dessert ! I was so taken aback at being accused of taking up his space for so little financial gain that l politely just left so as not to upset him any further. I truly hope he doesn't get any more 15 dollar patrons like us ever again. Seriously, who goes to a supposedly fine dining establishment and makes to get away with only paying 15 dollars ?More
