Definitely one of the best in Townsville. Quality service and food. The beef short ribs are soooo good. We have been to lot of Townsville restaurants and couldn’t find an issue with anything. Highly recommended and we’ll back!

29th wedding anniversary & wanted to fund The place in Townsville to celebrate. Found it! Upon arrival we were a little daunted by the conference dinner being held inside, but we’d booked outside so not a concern. Upon arriving at our table - a romantic...table for 2, we were next to a table of a dozen or more or had no regard for space. We had some room between us & another table so picked up our table & moved. This seemed to give the group an even greater need to invade what space we’d made for ourselves. Fortunately the waitress saw our displeasure & we were able to move our table waayyy to the other side. Giving us front row seats to the garden & water - Thank You. After all that we settled in for a truely fantastic dinner. We enjoyed damper, goat cigars, scallops - OMG, wow, they were fantastic. Prawn dumplings & then the mains, wow, amazing dinner. From a bit of a dud start to one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Thank you so much. Please pls still be here when we’re next in Townsville.More

I’ve been to a lot of amazing places to eat around Australia and Japan and nothing detonated my food loving brain like their Goat Cheese Gnocchi. Service was professional and friendly, venue was lovely and perfect temp so big fat men like me didn’t sweat....They greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary which was a lovely touch. Must try the blueberry collins cocktail. 5/5More

To celebrate my wife’s birthday on 23rd Dec 2020, I ordered a meal for 6 from a Touch of Salt, having previously been very pleased with the high standard of meals, both at the restaurant itself, and when present at other events where take away...meals were ordered. We collected the order, but when it was served, we discovered that a second portion of prawn tagliatelle was present, instead of the reef fish that had been ordered, so one of our guests was disappointed, however, he said he had enjoyed the meal. The following day, I received an email, thanking me for the order (TA 4292), and asking me to contact them if we had any issues. I replied on the same day, but have never had the courtesy of a response from the management.More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Touch of Salt on 27 November. Much technique on display in the brilliant food presented. Complimented by great wine from the comprehensive list and excellent service.

For a Sunday night the restaurant was very well patronised. Wait staff were very personable and food was spaced out well between courses. Good variety of wines beers etc. Food was divine. Baked scallops first up followed by the seared prawns with pasta which was...my pick for the night! Overall quite a pleasant night. Will come again when next in Townsville.More

This and Bridgewater are my 'go to' restaurants in Townsville. Have had the garlic prawn pasta and it's right on the money. Definitely recommend.

Sorry but I am not part of the restaurant, I was merely a very happy customer. But if you ring 4724 4441 I am sure they will be able to take the cake there yourself before you actually take your friend there. Hope this helps.
