We have been on the Gold Coast for the past week, finally able to get out of Canberra for a decent family holiday. Eating at a variety of excellent restaurants has been a highlight of the trip and the Hard Rock Cafe gave us one...the best eating and entertainment experiences we have had, anywhere. Even our 16 year old athlete son, a rapacious connoisseur of teenager food, described his meal as ‘the best burger I’ve ever had!’. I’m not sure if his mother was too pleased to hear that, but she, I and our 17 yo daughter definitely concurred with his assessment of the food they were served by our wonderful waitress, who, despite having many tables to service, made sure we, and every other group, was well looked after. We insisted on giving her a generous tip before we left, which isn’t always our custom. She certainly deserved earned it. For someone of my later middle-age vintage the music memorabilia was a pleasant wonder down memory lane, although perhaps it’s time for some more contemporary photos and knick-knacks; our teenage kids weren’t familiar with many of the musicians on display. My frequent query, ‘Have you heard of…’, was usually met with a shake of the head (but at least they knew the Beatles, Stones and MJ!). To top off an excellent evening, the live duet of two very fine musicians played the sort of music I like to sing along to, to the embarrassment of my family. The lads, one of who bore some resemblance to Richard Clapton, belted out Hotel California and a few other goldies (but I resisted the temptation to yell out for Stairway to Heaven!). All in all, a superb evening. Thanks Hard Rock!More

Food was over priced and cliche fried rubbish. Felt like they were trading on past glory days. Staff looked like they were doing their best with what they had to work with, which wasn’t much. If frozen meals are your thing then this is a...step up. If you like real food look elsewhere. Go to a local surf club, spend have as much get twice the food and a million times the atmosphere with out the cheesy memorabilia.More

We went here for our tea one night and it was so good as hard rock always is. The only thing I think is that the food you get is expensive for what it is.

Caesar salad was terrible and inedible... tasted like a tub of salt had been poored on it and chicken had been marinated with salt. 3 mouthfuls and I've had stomachache since and cant quench my thirst! Avoid the salad - such a waste :(. I...did advise the waiter of this and she did offer to replace it with another one but by that stage I was put off, a refund would have been better!More

Delicious top-quality food, excellent service, good atmosphere with the music, however the restaurant inside is a bit old and could use some updating, luckily the great food and friendly service makes up for it.
