Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The fish and seafood were so delicious (and at reasonable prices), that we dined at the Bistro 3 nights in a row. Our servers could not have been more gracious. The view was terrific and so was the ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings there!

What a pleasant surprise! Booked for 8pm. Arrived at 7:30pm and was told we were early and that the lower bar area was packed! Very hot and extremely busy. We found a bar next door to the restaurant and returned at 8pm. Got the best...table for two in a much quieter restaurant above the busy bar. The Surfers Paradise fireworks were on just as we sat down. Service and food were exceptional! We will be back again!More

My girlfriend and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary of our first date here. We were on vacation from England. We looked at Trip Advisor for inspiration and found rave reviews and recommendations for Seacsape. How delightedly we were with the attentive service and amazing...cuisine. As well as a jug of white Sangria, a cocktail each and Creme Brulee deserts. We ordered the following.... A platter of Pacific Lobster Coffin Bay oysters natural, char grilled and cold prawns, Harvey bay scallops, tempura soft shell crab, salt & pepper calamari, grilled market fish, French fries and condiments. We can highly recommend this delightedful restaurant and bistro with an amazing beach front view.More

Fantastic. The view ,the food and the service of the staff in the restaurant is brilliant. Excellent. The snapper had a crispy top and cooked perfectly.

I’ve been here many times and what I love the most is the consistent quality of the food and how clean the place is. The restaurant upstairs has the best views and staff are awesome. Highly recommended.

Had read good feedback on this Restaurant & the reviews seemed good so thought we'd try it mid week. We dined in the 'Bistro' section which still seemed quite nice. Very disappointed! We were greeted by a male waiter who took our drinks order, but...then a waitress appeared asking for our drinks order again; the staff seemed a little unorganised & confused. Then another older gentleman came out to pour the wine! My Wife had the 'Fishermen's Catch', which was bland & flavourless. It came with a tiny side of overdone chips. Have had much better at the local Fish & Chip shop. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Calamari which consisted of 5 small soggy pieces of Calamari and a tiny amount of Aioli on a shell, inedible garnish with no chips or salad. What dish like this has NO chips?? As there was no salad on either main dish, we ordered a large Greek Salad. Big mistake! It consisted of old soggy tomatoes, soggy cucumber & a couple of olives with a gallon of dressing and two pieces of Danish Feta (I wish we'd taken a picture). It tasted like it was made the night before. A waste of $19, Should have sent it back! We'd barely finished our meals when the waiter appeared with the bill, we hadn't even finished our drinks! He encouraged us to leave a tip, which was laughable! We did not understand why they were in such a rush when the place was empty? Although it was a good location with a nice view, there was no real atmosphere. Will never be back.More

We were greeted with a friendly smile and guided to our table at the restaurant. From there we were well attended throughout the evening ensuring we had everything we needed. Impeccable service and divine cuisine made this a very special night out at a very...reasonable price. Definitely a place to rebook.More

This is a great spot for dinner with a view of the beach. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The thing that let this place down was the manager/owner. He was quite abrupt when greeting us and showing us to our...table we had booked the night before. And during our meal we heard him telling the other staff members off, even swearing, telling them to do work when they had merely had a couple of minutes to breathe after a likely very busy shift. We found it very rude that a manager would speak to their staff members in such a way, never mind loud enough for customers dining to hear. If anything, this put a bitter taste to the end of our evening. And although I could not fault anything else, I would not return because of this.More

We had a young group of 6 (early to mid 20s) in the bistro area and the food and service was amazing!!! We were blown away by how efficient and friendly our waiter was, we forgot his name but he had glasses and blonde hair....The food was unreal the seafood was so fresh and every dish was beautifully cooked. Keep up the amazing service, we will be back! Definitely recommend 😊More

Every review here stating that the manager is rude is true. From the outset, upon arrival, he gave us attitude. When he waved us over to the table “prepped” for us, his hand gesture was most impolite. It looked like he was commanding us over...rather than inviting us to be seated. The table was unprepped. It was not cleaned, there were not enough chairs. He gruffling swung one over from another table and said, “That’s all I have. Make it work.” as if we had already offended him. By that time, I was indeed offended. But, we decided to wait patiently for over 10 mins for the menus. The wait staff were working really hard. They were clearly overworked and understaffed. So I got up to help ourselves to some menus to browse. The manager snatched them from my hands with this excuse “We are a full service restaurant. We serve you.” That was the most obtuse reaction to a customer merely trying to help relief the wait staff. I told him so. He got angry and immediately said for us to leave if we were not happy. From the other reviews here, it appears that he has this propensity. As a person with disgustingly ill manners, and arrogance to top it off, he ought not to be in the service industry. I write here so everyone else will know what kind of disservice to expect from him, but we all know how karma works anyway. Good luck to Seascape if it continues to be run by this horrific excuse of a manager. Some polite (but extremely hassled) waiter sent the same menus over to us mere seconds after they had been rudely snatched from my hands. The entire debacle of a rude man trying to exert dominance over customers left my family with no appetite. So, we decided to leave. We thanked the waiter and explained that it was not so much for the long wait, rather, because he had a lousy manager.More
