Opened in 1997, LEGENDS SEAFOOD CHINESE RESTAURANT is conveniently located in the heart of Surfer Paradise, Gold Coast. It is our mission is to serve locals and tourists honest and classic Cantonese food, with traditional cooking methods and techniques to showcase centuries of perfected recipes. For over 20 years, we carefully select and use high-quality seafood and the finest ingredients in the preparation of every dish. We use ingredients that are market fresh and sourced from local suppliers whenever possible. Our famous Australian seafood dishes cooked in Cantonese styles and extensive a la carte menu have been a family favourite amongst local residents and visiting tourists.

We tried this restaurant out last night mainly because it is adjoining our hotel (Mantra Legends, though apparently unaffiliated, even though they have the same base name, Legends, and you can walk directly from the hotel into the restaurant - they should team up!) and it reminded me a lot of a similar restaurant near where we live, called Delicious House, which is a Chinese restaurant in Deer Park in Melbourne. So let me count the differences. Service = this one was okay but Delicious makes you feel much more special. Seating = this one was okay but Delicious is amazingly comfortable. San Chow Bow = this one was fresher probably but it lacked the nice hot towels we get after eating it at Delicious. Deep Fried Ice Cream = this one was actually really good but I don't understand the cream, it was misshapen and Delicious always lights theirs on fire, so it was behind it. Overall = the meals were actually really tasty, and if Delicious House Restaurant didn't exist, and wasn't our local restaurant that we've been to 50+ times, I might rate this highly. But then came the killer = the price. We paid $124 for our meal (for 2) and we only got a small entree (San Chow Bow), a single dessert that we shared (deep fried ice cream), two basic mains and we shared a fried rice, plus a single glass of cheap Moscato for my wife and a single glass of lemon, lime and bitters for me, so where is all of this cost coming from? Delicious usually costs us about $70 to $80 for a similar-sized meal, and it is ever so slightly better quality than this one, and I'd expect if something costs more money then it should be better not worse, even if it's only a little bit worse. It wasn't terrible, and if our bill was $60 then I'd be a lot more positive, but for what we got this was very overpriced.

Friendly, quick service. Partner enjoyed the beef noodle dish; however, I found the braised pork in plum sauce to be quite bland. Spring rolls were okay, but we asked for sweet chilli sauce and got sweet and sour sauce… also, they tried to give us fried rice instead of steamed rice.

Went here for dinner recently and is was quite good. Service is very good with the head waiter being very friendly and welcoming.
We had chicken with ginger and garlic which was very good and a sweet and sour pork which was on the specials board for $9.90, this was good considering the price.
The food comes out fast as well, we will come back again.

Accompanied by a long standing friend we enjoyed a good selection of Cantonese food choices (sweet & sour pork, beef with vegetables, honey king prawns) and wines. Quite popular on the night and service was prompt. OK Overall.

Had our dinner at this fabulous restaurant. They serve authentic and delicious Chinese cuisines. The Hong Kong style typhoon shelter spicy crab is super tasty with fresh and indulgent ingredients. The whole fish is steamed with green onion and special sauce. The sweet and sour pork is dredged with flavourful coating and fried to perfection, then coated in a special sweet and sour sauce.

We were staying at Legends so decided to have dinner at their onsite restaurant. We ordered seafood fried rice (not much seafood to be seen), stir fried squid and chicken with vegetables. The food arrived quickly and was freshly cooked if a little bland. The meal was quite okay but the price tag seemed a little excessive. To be fair, there weren't too many other options available in the vicinity. Staff were polite and attentive and service was quick.

Did a day trip to the Gold Coast, found Legends Seafood Restaurant after leaving Sky Point Observation Deck.
Staff where prompt and service was excellent, food was served very quickly.
Food was fresh, cooked to perfection and very tasty.
Restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely.
They even have tanks with live lobsters, crabs.
Great jobs Legends Seafood Restaurant.

We have eaten at Legends Seafood many times. They offer authentic Cantonese food, we specially love their seafood dishes. My favourite dishes are sang choy bow, steamed perch, and scallops with vegetables. Highly recommend.

We were surprised s as e sat down to eat as there weren’t too many customers already there. Within 20 minutes the place was almost full.
The service was both efficient and fun but the food was wonderful. It was clear fresh and well prepared but the flavour was out of this world. We will go back!

I was staying at Mantra Legends and this Chinese Restaurant is located downstairs.
I ordered lemon chicken take away which is one of my favourites.
Dish was very good and ready within 10 minutes of my phone order.
Each time I walk past the restaurant appears to be very busy.

We have walked past this place a thousand times and finally decided to drop in. Food was excellent and service was really good also. 7 of us shared dishes and there wasnt one bad dish in there. We will be returning from now whenever we want Chinese.

We went for dinner on a Monday night. We found the service very friendly and efficient. The place was lovely and clean with a good atmosphere. The food was amazing! The chicken curry was a star for us. But if you don't want to see someone's dinner swimming in a tank or being shown to them before being cook it's not for you but it was a very quiet night and a mud crab was easy to spot to me. We will definitely be back again

Amazing service and the food was fantastic, every dish was bursting with flavour.
Even when not sure about a dish, we were helped so the dinner was something to remember

The service was very attentive.
The server had a very good knowledge of the menu and answered any questions we had.
The food came out quickly and the portions were great.
