We walked up to get a table and my daughter coughed. The woman saw this and gave us a look of disgust, we asked to get a table and she told us nothing was available for a week, went on to the app plenty of...available bookings. This was at 5:30pm on a Monday with a restaurant at 1/4 capacity, hospitality business are crying because they’ve had a hard time but this one obviously couldn’t care less, multiple stuff doing nothing so it’s clearly not a staffing issue, it’s a poor management issue.More

I booked to eat here for my birthday and requested a nice view (which I got) My boyfriend got a whole roast chicken and I had the sirloin and mash. We also had starters. The food was amazing. Steak cooked perfectly Mash delicious Creme brûlée...dessert- amazing and so much of it for the price! Service was quick and efficient. Staff maybe a bit stretched out but I was enjoying my evening so I didn’t mind waiting those extra minutes ! Thank you!More

I took my partner out for our last meal at Surfers last night (17/10/2021) to the Hurricane Grill which had some decent reviews but I wish I had read them all. The atmosphere was O.K, the service from the waitress was a little underwhelming but...the meals a lot worse. I had the Cape Grim scotch fillet with mushroom gravy, it was $55.00 and only came with chips, it was about 10mm thick and well overcooked. My partner had the Cape Grim sirloin which was $48.00 and it was not even close to rare, it was served medium at best. Neither of us finished our steak or the chips. When I went to pay, the waitress asked me if we were happy, I was not rude but I was honest and said the steak was well overcooked and meal was average, she actually replied "I highly doubt that", I just said, well I am from Tasmania where the beef comes from, it was overcooked and would not of been served like that in Tasmania, I said it was very underwhelming, she never commented back or asked any questions. I said to my partner that a Woollies sizzle steak would of been better to eat I am sure the farmer would be disappointed to see his beef being served flat and overcooked. If the restaurant cannot actually be interested in customer feedback then that sums it up for me. I was quite taken back at the counter, needless to say we will never dine there again and I would not recommend the restaurant either.More

This place was a fantastic place to celebrate my partners 3rd orgasm that day. The ribs were excellent.

It just didn't do it for us and we probably won't be back. The menu was tatty and sticky - not a good start. We ordered a steak meal with baked potato. The menu gives the impression you also get coleslaw. This is not the...case. So a lone steak and a potato turn up on a large white plate. My husband queries the coleslaw issue and is told that you choose between chips, baked potato or coleslaw. We order a side of coleslaw instead. I ordered the seafood salad. Enough lettuce mix to feed a family of four but to their credit the seafood that was on my plate was cooked well. When your meals are uninspiring there is nothing that says 'stay awhile and order another drink, and maybe a dessert" Needless to say we left.More

The meat is good but not at the level the price would attract in another restaurant. The ribs don't hit the point. Very nice view, quite good service

Take away was are only option, as the wait for table was an over an hour, so we sat at the bar and waited for our meal. At the bar a customer did point out to the bearded staff member that we were waiting and...there first and he brushed us off.....not a good start. We did get served by a lovely blond hair young man who was very good and even checked if we were enjoying the cocktail he had made. The ribs and half chicken were messy, very messy in the delivery but the taste well that was spot on melt in your mouth perfect ribs and moist chicken. The slaw yum, garlic bread great, the prawns ok and chips were not even soggy by the time we got back to our hotel so very good. Thanks for a messy but lovely takeaway well worth it. Hopefully next time we can sit in. Cost around ($70.)More

We had the 1/2 beef and 1/2 pork ribs and they were cooked to perfection, so delicious. We also had the seafood platter and while most of the seafood was yummy and well cooked, the lobster was over cooked and tough. It was definitely overpriced...considering the main draw for us was the lobster. The service was good and staff were friendly.More

Great ribs. Food was great with the ribs the stand out dish with the meat falling off the bone. The burger was great but quite messy. Will define back.

Surfers is very busy. We normally do a few laps and if no luck park in car park next to the vomitron (rides)
