Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed our visit tonight. A good range on the menu without too much. We enjoyed the chorizo, prawns and potato brava. We did ask for a side of bread ti take advantage of the sauces. We had a glass of the sangria unfortunately that...was a bit of a let down. I would go again for the food but I’d order wine over the sangriaMore

We went out for a couples dinner on a Monday night. The food was good and reasonably priced and the service was good. The menu is a bit limited.

We had croquettes and bread and oil to start with chorizo, calamari and patatas bravos and we really enjoyed our food! The waitresses were lovely and very helpful. We would visit again! Thank you

Beautiful Tapas in paradise. After reading some recent reviews we decided to check out Seabean Tapas at Port Douglas. It was a very busy night in Port Douglas but the service and quality of all meals were excellent. Highly rate the barramundi fish tacos.

Have mixed feelings about our dining experience at Seabean , for some reason for myself I was a little underwhelmed , their service was excellent , but ambience felt a little bland , our waitress was able to advise us on individual dishes and had...a very good knowledge of the menu. Our Tapas dishes were tasty and presented well . I felt disappointed by the Paella choices only 3 on the menu , one mostly seafood , one spicy with Chilli and Chumchurri and the other vegetarian so if you don't like seafood or spicy you are left with the Vegetarian option only, We added prawns to the Vegetarian option for an extra $10 but received only 2 prawns and one empty shell ! Also a little dry for my personal taste. But I am certainly not a Paella expert ! So maybe this is how it is meant to be . So mixed feelings , it just lacked the 'wow' factor for me , overall hit and miss .More

We had such a brilliant dinner at Seabean with fantastic helpful staff who were attentive and answered all our questions. The food was amazing – highly recommend the paella, prawns, chorizo, empanadas and you must leave room for the amazing crema catalana dessert - we...are still talking about it!More

We had a delightful evening at Seabeam. We dined on the footpath in front of the restaurant with a soft breeze behind us, our beautiful waitress Katie guided us through the menu and all of her suggestions were delicious The maître d/ owner assisted us...with our wine choice and we had a delicious Gary Crittenden Spanish wine that had a light spritz We booked in advance as Port is very busy.More

Nice spanish-style restaurant. Food is good. Paella is a bit expensive, but contains a lot of fish! Worthwhile visiting!

This is a must-visit restaurant when visiting Port Douglas. Tasty tapas and great paellas. And a hospitality team that works like a Swiss watch. Whatever you order, you won't be disappointed. And it is affordable.

We had a fantastic meal with friends at Seabean to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is across the road from a park and the water and we were treated to one of the best sunsets I've ever seen as we parked the car. Service was...friendly, and we were served at a good pace. For four people we chose 5 tapas dishes and shared a large paella. My friend, who is gluten free, was delighted with the number of menu options clearly labelled as such. Each dish was well presented and tasty. Standouts for me were the anchovies, the beef cheek empanadas and the incredibly tender calamari. We chose a seafood paella with the addition of chorizo and it was magnificent. We shared carafes of white and red sangria. We were too full for dessert but the options at the next table looked hood! All up the price was pretty reasonable for a good night out with friends. I had booked a fortnight ahead and the restaurant was fully booked on the night. I highly recommend it!More

Found this small place on recommendation of hotel staff. Authentic tapas just like in Spain - both small bites and raciones. Very friendly service and great food and wine. Whole experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommended, but book because it is really popular.

My partner and I visited with my mother, this was one of our favourite restaurants in Port Douglas. It was so popular we could only get in with a 5pm dining spot, I don't normally eat that early but take any time you can to...get in. It's worth it! We were served by Phoebe, a young woman who was excellent at her role and took such great care of us. Delicious food, great customer service. Highly recommend.More
