Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow wow wow the food was fantastic and so much. My wife and I had scallops and black prawns for starters then the barramundi and roasted cauliflower. There was so much we didn’t have room for desserts. They catered for my wife being a vegetarian...who is also gluten intolerant with lots of options. We will definitely be back when next in Port Douglas.More

This restaurant looks really pretty in the evening with its decorative lights. The meal we had was okay, portions seemed a bit small and the service wasn’t great on the evening we went, the waiting team seemed to be serving too many tables and we...struggled at times to get their attention. Also frustrating that an incorrect drink was presented to us and that the restaurant had run out of non-alcoholic beerMore

We enjoyed Zinc last Sunday. The food was delicious especially the sashimi and ceviche. Our waiter was friendly and had good attention to detail. We would definitely recommend Zinc.

Amazing service, really good food and short waiting time. The waiters and waitresses were very polite and helpful when ordering - Also there’s a mini aquarium in the toilets 🤯

Courteous & efficient staff. Ambience - specify whether you want indoors or outdoors (we were outdoors). Best of all, food was superb: seafood, grills, vegan & fresh produce. On spec I had Spiced Cauliflower, which was beautifully flavoured. Kids meals. Extensive wine list. Not cheap,...but the place was packed. That says it all.More

This restaurant is in a great location on Macrossan Street with lots of seating. We ate here on our first evening and had a very good meal. We arrived a little earlier than our scheduled time, but that was no problem; they simply asked us...to have a drink in the cocktail bar while they prepared our table. The food was very good and the service likewise. We returned to the cocktail bar later in our holiday, because we liked the ambiance and the ability to sit looking out over Macrossan Street and "people watch". We only wanted a snack that evening, so we just shared the sour dough cob loaf, which was a perfect end to a busy dayMore

Just happened to be walking past Zinc and stopped for an early weekday dinner. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the friendly staff and escorted to our table. The service was excellent and we ordered the cob with Dukkah and the ceviche for...entree and the Barramundi and Seafood linguine for mains. Both were mouth watering and happy to go back and sample more of their cuisineMore

This a classy restaurant. Excellent menu and drinks options with suggested matchings. The oysters and tuna starters were followed by a perfect steak and pumpkin side.

We had a wonderful three course dinner on an outdoor table on a beautiful night in Port Douglas. Highly recommend the lamb and the barramundi but everything we ate was delicious. Fantastic, friendly service and make sure you visit the bathrooms!!

We spent a week in Port Douglas and ate at Zinc twice - it was the best restaurant we experienced there. The food was amazing - we can highly recommend the potato gnocci. Also our steak was perfectly cooked as was the fish. The vegetable...sides and the gelato dessert were tasty and beautifully presented. The service was attentive but not too fussy. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We couldn’t fault it.More

Food was excellent. Service okay but the mouse running around the restaurant was a bit off putting. Made worse by the waitress declaring it was a bandicoot.

Disappointed as it used to be a lot more enjoyable. Small serves but nicely cooked. Steak came with red wine jus, chutney and mustard but if you wanted any accompaniments you had to pay $12 for each one. Bread to start was nice but we...asked for some butter and they charged 50 cents for it. We were paying over $200 for 2 of us so I thought that was a bit rich! Probably won’t go back.More

Dress code is very casual just like the rest of Port Douglas. Think Waikiki.
