My wife & I went for lunch to see what all the hype about this eatery was - well we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, reasonably priced, and great service. The setting was lovely, sitting outside under cover. Well worth the visit if ever...in Port Douglas, but certainly need to book quite a few days ahead.More

Port Douglas was caught with its pants down at Easter. We booked and attended Zinc. My wife and her parents and I were amazed at the exceptional service, cleanliness and of course the outstanding food. No drop due to the pressure whatsoever. Congratulations and I...highly recommend anyone visiting Port Douglas to dine at ZincMore

We were met by friendly attentive staff who set the tone along with the background music for a lovely meal. The specials of local fish and curry were tried and found to be plentiful and flavourful. This is a great restaurant at the junction of...Davidson and Macrossan and well worth a visitMore

Finding myself without a restaurant booking in Port Douglas on Easter Saturday evening, I was very lucky to be able to secure a table at Zinc. Having been to several of the heralded restaurant in PD my expectations were low ... but I couldn’t have...had a better experience. I would definitely say Zinc is the best restaurant here. All was perfect. The food wed exceptional - fresh natural oysters, a great and tasty salad and the lamb gnocchi was superb, as good as anything in melbourne ... or Italy!. The wines great (helped lift by good recs from the waitstaff ... my person checked out the beer I was going to have with the oysters with the other staff and made a better suggestion). The cheesecake dessert was exceptional, subtle, flavoursome and delicious. The service was gracious and friendly. And the setting laid back, stylish but relaxed . Honestly, a perfect meal. I was sending photos to my friends ... will be back!More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner here on our last night in PD. It fell on a public holiday but we were lucky enough to get a booking (albeit a little on the late side). Definitely recommend booking in advance if you want to be...eating at an earlier time. We were allowed to have a drink in the bar area while we waited which was a nice way to pass the time though. It's a very, very busy place and I feel like the service does suffer a little bit because no doubt the waiters have plenty of tables to look after at any one time. It wasn't bad service by any means but I felt like our waiter was always rushing. We couldn't fault the food whatsoever. I had the seafood linguine which was absolutely divine and my wife had the barramundi which looked and smelled delicious. Even the bread we ordered for the side was excellent. Yes, it's a little pricey but well worth it!More

Went here for some pre dinner cocktails. Had the spicy margarita and husband had a mojito. Sadly both were so so sweet they were undrinkable. I didn't finish mine. I did get worried when I saw the bar person take out a recipe book to...make the cocktails! Poor service, we were greeted and told to take a seat. This greeting we presumed meant table service....10 minutes later I approached the bar and was told "oh no you order at the bar" like we should have known. When settling the bill another staff member was running around trying to find the eftpos machine, all whilst not wearing a mask (wasn't even on his person)More

Well done Zinc. We have tried most dining venues in Port and always come back to Zinc. Service is always friendly and food terrific. It has been a difficult time for the people of Port Douglas with staff and visitor numbers dropping, but Zinc has...managed to maintain their hight standard.More

Dress code is very casual just like the rest of Port Douglas. Think Waikiki.
