Wow, ZINC, we loved our dinner to celebrate my dads 81st birthday, as tourists to Port Douglas we had read the reviews on ZINC, and were not disappointed !! The ambience, the service, the food - everything was 5 star, thank you, and thank you...for meeting all our expectations, our table of 8 people ranged in age form 7 years old to 81 and the food was exceptional - the drinks menu divine and the service offered by Mercedes was World Class- we can not recommend ZINC enough and we also can not wait to return on our next visit - thank you, and keep up all that you do - its on par with the best we have enjoyed all over the World.More

We had an excellent experience dining at Zinc. We had the beef cheeks, gnocchi and a kids pasta and all were delicious. The service was fast and friendly and the wine was also very nice.

We ate here last week. I had seen Zinc previously, when we had been in Port Douglas, but this was our first time dining. The food was delicious, the carpaccio and pork to start, yummy. Lamb ragu gnocchi and seafood pasta, both of which were...delicious. The menu offers a paired wine to match each dish, and they were perfect. Efficient, pleasant staff, service was great.More

Very nice fine dining venue. Excellent service too. Decent wine list. My entree of grilled tiger prawns was excellent, quality fresh prawns. The catch of the day was fresh snapper and it was absolutely fresh- just a slightly bland preparation.

Tried to eat here this night. Ordered the degustation. After 2 hours had been served 3 oysters and 2 prawns. total disorganisation was clearly reigning. Try somewhere else.

We had the razor clam entree special and was very disappointed. The broth was Delicious but the razor clams were a little less then a matchstick in size and tasteless. Basically a bowl of shells without meat. This should be taken of the menu as...we have eaten here before and loved the food and this dish did the restaurant no justiceMore

Zinc has been around for years, always reliable, high standard food, lovely ambiance etc, the only downside this visit was the 1.5 hr wait between entree and main. They did warn us there may be delays which we understood, but main course at 9.30 meant...my hunger had wained considerably. The inexperienced staff tried hard but the inexperience showed through. Good luck in recruiting more staff to help you through.More

All round exceptional experience. We ate here twice whilst staying in Port Douglas and I could have eaten at Zinc every day. The food is modern, high quality, decent portion size (more than enough), extensive wine and cocktail list, all reasonably priced. The location is...lovely and the service very attentive. The kids loved their meals, $15 with icecream and the bucket of pencils was a hit. Would recommend....and best book in. Whilst they always found us a table town is so busy and walk-ins are frequently turned away.More

Had the 5 course meal with the matched Premium Wines. Enjoyed it all but loved the salmon sushimi & the barramundi in jungle curry emulsion! Great service and ambience. Expensive but well worth it!

Dress code is very casual just like the rest of Port Douglas. Think Waikiki.
