Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are looking for something different for breakfast, this is the place. Whilst there's a few things on the menu that might be considered standard breakfast fare, the thing that makes The Little Larder shine is the variation to the regular breakfast menu. It...works. We had great service and amazing food. The coffee was terrific too. Our regular breakfast venue was closed for summer holidays and this meant a change to our routine. Not an easy thing for a couple of grumpy old men. So we walked back to the main street to The Little Larder (we had walked past it on other days). Well, some things were meant to happen. We loved the food and will certainly be back again. Do try the smoked fish or the pulled pork (yes, for breakfast!) ... wow. This venue does not have waterfront views, but gee, the food and the coffee make up for it.More

Fab lunch. Tried the new special, Sashimi Tuna Poke Bowl. Fresh, tasty, great combo. Washed down with a glass of the house rosé. Excellent service, recommend.

I had the Prawn omelette. It was very nice and had a beautiful flavour. My wife had the chili eggs. It had an. Indian flair with a lot of subtle flavours. The staff were friendly and fast. Nice cafe!

This is a little gem hidden in plain sight on Macrossan Street. Excellent service and exquisite food (must have the Vietnamese omelette or the pulled pork croissant). Service is fast, friendly and the food arrives to your table ready to be enjoyed. The Little Larder...ticks all boxes for a breakfast treat and should be visited when you’re in the Port.More

Called in here for Breakfast after chatting to Adam who was working on the Beach the previous afternoon! He mentioned this Coffee Shop and so we thought we would try it before we left Port Douglas.Needless to say we were not disappointed- the Coffee,Fruit Juice...and Bacon and Egg Sandwich were delicious. We were impressed with Adam’s “ Work Ethic” and found him to be a very friendly and professional young man 👍More

We always over the years loved this place, friendly service and it's food. It used to be really good. But something has gone wrong. The menu has changed and their Thai omelet was terrible. Very dry ( crumbling when cut ) and unappetising, looking like...a brown folded face cloth. It also tasted as if it was fried in old, re used oil. We actually both had indigestion after eating it. We ordered two coffees. One arrived in about 10 min. For the other we were waiting a long time, we asked the waitress, she just rudely pointed out they were busy, then brought us that second coffee ( which was cold ) with not a word of sorry nor even a smile. Sorry The Little Larder, but you can and should do betterMore

Staff really friendly food and coffee really nice. Got my coffee order wrong size and took a long time to get around to our table. To be fair they are almost always busy so that’s what happens when your popular. Mistakes happen when your busy...also but I get annoyed when mistakes are made with an order. However s good choice and nice and clean as well.More

Did not live up to expectation! We did not wait long to be seated, however we were inside and under a large fan blowing full speed, the waiter came over and took our order - eggs benny with an extra side of bacon, and scrambled...eggs on sourdough. After a 25 minute wait our meals arrived, eggs benny missing the bacon and the scrambled eggs turned into poached eggs, both meals were cold, perhaps they had been forgotten on the pass? I requested that they were sent back and was given a surly look, they arrived a short time later and had the extra bacon that was requested, however it looked like it was cooked on a dirty black grill and covered in black bitter oil - not a pleasant look or taste. The coffee was also cold. The saving grace was the maître de deducted our coffee off the cost of the meal…More
