We went here after reading lots of positive reviews. Nice enough food, well presented but pretty slow and poor service. Ordered a drink which never arrived but it somehow managed to be on the bill!

Wonderful food and service and moderately priced Comfortable, nicely lit restaurant which is a short walk from city centre. We had the minced fish (ikan) satay, a chicken (ayam) salad (very clean / fresh tasting) a tuna salad (also very fresh tasting) some rice, a...massaman curry and drinks. We called in at Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant on Tuesday 29/08/23 for Lunch without any pre-booking. On arrival the restaurant was very quiet & certainly no complaints with the service from the waiter, meals served within 20 min's & excellent presentation & delicious in taste. More...diners arrived & a relaxed atmosphere. A good meal selection & choices from the menu planner & the total bill for our meals & drinks came to AUD $62.50 reasonable menu prices. Some difficulty in locating street parking being opposite the hospital.More

We ordered the banquet and were delightfully impressed. Each meal was a delight to the tastebuds especially the peanut sauce in the entree. Highly recommend

Booked a dinner for my partner and I while on holidays - The atmosphere and design of the dining area is beautiful - especially loved and outdoor dining and flame lighting. A nicely located and beautifully presented authentic Balinese restaurant. Although it was busy, and with no reservation, staff had no trouble accommodating us on a table. The menu was extensive, filled with authentic Balinese and Indonesian dishes. A difficult choice, but we chose well. The...beverages list was also extensive. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive . We luxuriated in the wonderful atmosphere, overwhelmed by the beautiful aromas emanating from the kitchen. When the meals arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the meals, and they were beautiful authentic dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.More

Went here after reading the reviews, to say it was a disappointed is an understatement. My work colleague and I ordered the chicken mie goreng each, a chicken curry and some rice. What turned up was a pack of 2minute noodles put into a round...bowl to shape it onto a plate and 3 skewers 2 beef and 1 chicken. I didn’t order the beef I ordered chicken. The lighting inside was really dark I didn’t realise what was going on until I was chewing forever on the grissle of the beef. It was very disappointing at $27 each. The curry was palatable but nowhere near as good as a Bali chicken curry. Overall with 2 bottles of beer it came to 109$. It was worth around 40$ I wouldn’t recommend this place for the mie goreng unless you’re happy paying top dollar for 2 minute noddles. I’ve eaten at many Malaysian places and this is at the bottom of the list. We did mention to the staff an apology didn’t really help. Sure to say I won’t go back. Oh and there really is no need for the leaf under the food either.More

Food is fair. Big portion and nicely presented. Flavour is okay. Nadi Goreng is nice but came a bit cold. Duck curry with Papaya has sour and creamy flavour, give it a shot if that’s your thing. If you are a tenant from the hotel,...this is a convenient place. But might not worth the driving you are coming from 30 mins distance. 3/5.More

We came on a Saturday evening, restaurant wasn't really busy at the time. Cocktail and other drinks were nice, but getting water for the table took forever. We ordered satay, and this was very tasty. No crackers and the yummy spicy dip anymore though, which...was disappointing. Mains were tasty, but again, trying to get more rice was a pain, couldn't get service. In the end we gave up and paid, got the hell out of there.More
