Having dined here in March 2019 (and provided an excellent, deserved review) we were eager to try it again two years later. Our high expectations were not met at all. The service was friendly and courteous but rather slow; the food disappointing overall. Dolmades as...a shared entree was actually very good. However, the coral trout was oily and salty; the calamari also salty and cold. The wine brought to the table was not the one ordered from the list.More

We had the giros for lunch and it was so good we came back the next day for dinner the following evening! This is how I remember Greek food should taste !

Despite previous poor reviews, our experience was delightful. We went for lunch today and food and service fabulous. We had the saganaki, the quad of dips & bread, & the falafel salad plus a bottle of vino. Everything sooooooo delicious and our wait-person Anastasia attentive,...efficient & gorgeous to boot. Clearly this is a family restaurant as an adjacent table had a large group of people including owners and relatives - that alone a ringing endorsement in my books!More

My husband had been to this restaurant before and had nice dinner at the time. The restaurant wasn't busy then. This time when I went too the place was almost full. The people serving were nice enough but very slow. Food wasn't up to the...standard. I didn't taste other people's food in our table but the fish of the day was awful. It came with salad only which wasn't a problem. The pieces of the coral trout were very thin, tastless and swimming in oil. I never seen coral trout like that. We wanted desert but nobody came to take the order after giving us the desert menu. We just left and I will never visit again. We are local people and will not recommend to anybody. The restaurant had nice atmosphere that would appeal to tourists.More

Disappointing. Very average food. My lamb chops were very tough and tasted ‘stewy’. Can cook twice as good on my own bbq at home. My friend got the lamb yiros, marked on the menu as the house specialty, but couldn’t finish it as it was...almost inedibly too salty and seemed chunks of tailend meat not the shaved meat shown in the menu photo. All dishes way too salty. It was difficult to get even a smile out of the staff much less good service. Waited 15 mins to get my first beer (mainly because we were just ignored by the wait staff even when hailed) and there were only 4 tables occupied at that stage. My wife ended up doing some service herself, going to the bar and bringing our drinks back because the waitress that took the order was standing in the bar looking at her phone. Only found out about the menu specials as we walked out. The best part of this place was the dancer who entertained the diners. As locals we are used to great service and food from the many great restaurants in Cairns. At Fettas we felt we were a nuisance rather than paying customers. Too many good places to go to bother coming back here.More

We stumbled across this place just as we got into cairns from the airport. The food was exactly what we needed. Great service and delicious food! Highly recommend a visit.

This a real gem of a place, just like a Greek taverna. Authentic, well cooked food and a great traditional style restaurant. Takes me back to the Med in 80’s... The service lacks professionalism, but you can’t have it all I guess... Highly recommended!

I am honestly astounded by all the good reviews, maybe we just picked a bad night. Initially very welcoming and wait staff were friendly. The food..... well we walked out saying it was the worse meal we have ever had. A single lamb shank came...with 2 little pieces of bread, no veggies and no mash (as advertised) the seafood dish in tomato sauce was full of fish that was a grey colour, with 2 prawns, a scallop and 3 bits of calamari, really not worth the price tag! The meat in my daughters yiros tasted like it was cooked a week previous. All in all it was really awful. I try to stick to good and positive reviews but really think there are great places to eat in Cairns and sad we wasted our hard earned cash in Fettas.More

Great variety of Greek food available at Fetta’s Greek Taverna. The plate of dips and bread was a great start to our meal and very filling. I decided to try the stuffed calamari and was pleased with the decision. Partner tried the vegetarian mousakka and...was not disappointed. Service was good and the host was delightful. Definitely a place to try if you like Greek food.More
