Unfortunately not the experience I remember. For such a well established resturant and a long standing Cairns establishment. C'estbon did not meet our expectations. I had hoped for a heavenly amalgamation of culture, tradition, sophistication and, perhaps above all, an evening where the family could...worship the food. a love for food. It was an evening to not look at menus but to look beyond the ingredients and techniques that go into creating a rich blend of flavors. ...we wanted a French sophisticated experience. The French flare that once lived here has mellowed the high prices increased and the service is just terrible. I wanted more. I expected more..More

My husband and I went here for lunch and absolutely loved it. We had the 3 course lunch special which they change regularly and thoroughly enjoyed each and every mouthful. The setting along with the staff make you feel like you really are in France....If you're in Cairns, this restaurant is a must !!More

We had a truly wonderful French meal. The food was very authentic and the restaurant had a good French ambiance. Good value for money. Will definitely return next time we are in Cairns.

Due to COVID-19 we had a very long extended stay in Far North Queensland, so we were able to have lunch at C'est Bon 3 times over the past few months. Each time we had the 3-course lunch which changes weekly and has 3 choices...each of starter, main and dessert. At $50 per person which includes a glass of wine this is great value. Definitely fine dining at a mid-range price at lunch. The food here is exceptionally good and many of the dishes are old-time French favourites -- for example I had the coq au vin on our last visit and if I closed my eyes I could easily imagine that I was in France as the sauce had the same delicious flavour of traditional French cooking. Keep up the good work! We will visit again when we are able to come back to Cairns.More

Our family of four (twin teens) had a pretty awesome meal here. We started with a little duck entrée, a few tasty green beans on the side and then chose beef, lamb and pork for plats principaux. They were all delicious if totally environmentally scandalous....But, the desserts… oof… they were totally stunning. The cherry soufflé was ordered with a little trepidation as none of us had ever ordered one before. It was amazeballs. (the mousse and crème brûlée were also awesome). The waitstaff were all totally professional, and some were actually French, or at least had very accomplished french accents. There were some très french paintings and music to add to the ambience. Between mains and dessert, we reminisced on our last trip to France, and briefly forgot about the pandemic. Not cheap, but so worth the splurge, and no more than many restaurants on the pier!!More

We had the two course meal at lunch for $40-45. Very nice entrees and mains were duck and steak all beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Only negative is the rock and dance music in background. Fine dining should never be exposed to party or supermarket...music. Far better choices but owners and managers these days are clueless. Do go for the food.More

Outstanding experience for our anniversary dinner on their ‘date night’. Food was basically perfect, no more words needed.

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous, the waiters were extremely polite and so good at their job, the service was excellent, the food was fantastic , we both had 3 courses including a bottle of our favourite French champagne, every course was delicious, when we arrived...our table had a big happy anniversary written across the table which made us both feel a bit special, we had eaten there last year for our 30th anniversary , this year they had remembered it was our anniversary as we had not said anything when booking. The owner of the restaurant came to our table and greeted us upon our arrival, we were visiting from Adelaide and made feel very welcome There is not one thing I could fault with the entire night, best restaurant we have dined at for the whole year , well worth the trip just to dine here, we’ll definitely keep coming back as it’s always so goodMore
