Fantastic and speedily prepared breakfast - maybe the fastest in Cairns! Friendly and attentive service, however they don’t serve a very good matcha. The waitress noted it was very white and asked if it tasted right, if not they’d make me a fresh one, however the second still wasn’t right. Next time I’ll try a coffee as I will be back.

Thanks heaps for your review, we would love to get the strength of your matcha right for you as the Alchemy Matcha we use is really tasty.
Also we are well known for providing 5* chef quality food from our famous kitchen, and our chefs do a brilliant job of being super efficient for people heading to the office !

Called in early at Bang and Grind just before 8am on Tuesday morning 04/08/20 for two delicious cooked breakfasts. Friendly welcoming staff, excellent service & value + two hot drinks. Eat In or Outside or Takeaway orders.

I had eggs Benedict and it was not bad but nothing exciting. My husband had a Mexican inspired dish with eggs and his meal was delicious. The coffee was also nice so much so we purchased some of their beans to take home.

Ordered the eggs Benedict. The ‘hollandaise’ sauce tasted and looked like margarine that had been sitting out of the fridge for an hour which was slapped on top of 2 over cooked eggs which sat on top of wet spinach that had soaked the dismally small piece of Turkish bread. My meal certainly didn’t resemble any photos from Instagram, that’s for sure. $37 for Eggs Benedict and a Vietnamese coffee which was mediocre at best is a huge disappointment. Staff were friendly but didn’t offer much of a solution when we told server that the food was disappointing and no comparison to when we came in September, with a reduction in quantity, quality and food styling.

So sad to read this old review, we are new owners and it was fairly indicative on where the cafe was at when we took over on the 19th of December. Our goal is to return this cafe to its former glory, so come back soon and give us another try !

2nd time I have dined at Little Loco. Both times I have been underwhelmed. Service has never been great and food overpriced and lacking.
Today the $5 additional hasbrowns were overcooked and crumbling.
If you are looking for somewhere that ticks all the boxes you will be disappointed here.

The service was friendly but the food was very over priced, small portions & the quality wasn’t great. The Benedict sauce was bland and cold, the egg’s were rock hard & it was served on one slice of bread. Both coffee’s were bitter. Overall not good.

The food was overpriced and had no flavour. The hollandaise sauce was cold and tasted like the whipped butter you get from McDonalds. The staff were friendly enough however the food looks nothing like the images on social media and tasted foul.

Well where do I start, I recommended the Little Loco to my girlfriends after having the most amazing breakfast with my family in September. Well what a disappointment, I ordered the french toast after having food envy from my husbands choice in September only to be extremely disappointed. My husbands french toast (in September) was 3 amazingly thick pieces of brioche, gorgeous flowers, crispy bacon and ice cream in comparison to mine with was 1 1/2 pieces of plain thin sliced bread, no ice cream, drenched in maple syrup, very little bacon and some sad looking petals carelessly thrown on the top. Complete sugar overload. No love here. My girlfriends breakfast were also extremely sad looking and overly priced for a meal that looked like it came from a petrol shop cafe. Not knocking petrol shop cafes but paying $32.50 for french toast and an Vietnamese coffee seems a little rich given the quality. We asked the staff if they had changed hands only to be advised no.. I only wish I took a photo of today’s meal to show the comparison but I was so overwhelming shocked in the difference in quality it slipped my mind. The staff were attentive and the shop was well presented but that’s about it.

Definitely the find of our never ending search of great cafes that we continue on each holiday.
Surrounded by other cafes and coffee shops, this one couldn't hide the one sided volume of patronage.
The area was calming enough away from the Esplanade with bright and airy seating was very comfortable.
The coffee was better compared to Beanhunters #1 choice IMO, so no need for us to look anywhere else during our stay.
The acai breakfast bowl was superb in taste and presentation, great Granola and fresh cold fruit with a dollop of peanut butter was a bloody good and lite breakfast

It’s Easter Monday and my wife and I were struggling to find a cafe open for breakfast. On our way to Maccas, we came across Little Loco and I’m so, so glad we did.
My wife had poached eggs with spinach and smoked salmon, I had the beans that comes with spinach, avocado, poached eggs, chorizo sausage feta, etc.
Staff knew the menu, were very good with there suggestions and were fast and on top of there game.
It was so good we have already planed our return trip for Thursday breakfast

We stumbled across this place on the way to another cafe and thought we would give it a try. The food was delicious, prices were great and service was exceptional. They were very accommodating of our young kids and nothing was left on the plates. Coffee was really good too, Unique taste but very nice.

There are noisey road works out the front of this place but it was a convenient location so I gave it a go. The coffee was the best I’ve ever had in Queensland and the fruit toast like a cross between sourdough and brioche totally delicious. Forgot the noise and had a great breakfast. They open very early so I was able to grab a great coffee before an early flight.

Incredible breakfast and brunch. Also smoothies and coffee are super, super nice. Great service; would recommend going slightly after breakfast time - around 10am. Highly recommend Super Nutter smoothie, Eggs Benedict or Pancake Stack for food. My partner and I ate here twice whilst up from Melbourne. 100% will be going back and is our 1st choice for breakfast when in Cairns.

We love coming here, as Tony & his team are always so welcoming & friendly. There is a great selection of food, and the coffee is just sublime! The presentation of the venue and the food in the display cabinets is a testament to the care & attention to detail across all aspects of their establishment. Consistency is key & Tony & his team have it in spades!
