We ordered chicken with cashews. Dish came with no chicken pieces. The "chicken" was bits of bone and skin covered in a batter. I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and this was by far the worst meal I've seen. We also ordered a beef dish and it looked pretty greasy. We told the manager we would not eat... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us in Trip Advisor. It was a very busy night but I still remember you were sitting on 4th table at a dinning area and had a couple of wines, chicken cashewnut and beef tenderloin. It is regretful that you have not enjoyed your meal. We will put more effort to improve... More

We ordered the following dishes: - Thai beef salad: contained hard uncooked rice that was too tough to chew. Management stated that this was stir fried and they had never received a complaint before, - Chicken cashew: No cashews. Management stated that the chef insisted they had been added, - 1 x Plain rice: Served and charged for 2 x... More

I am so sorry you found your food and service unacceptable. I have discussed with a chef regarding the deep fried rice from the salad and decided to take it out from the recipe. We waive a food from a bill when we fail in quality control, however we only provide discount coupon when the meal is nearly finished or... More

We ordered Thai Green Curry, Pad Thai and Prawn Fried Rice. We paid for the Prawn Fried Rice, the rest went back to the kitchen and hopefully straight in the garbo. The Chicken Green Curry was so thick I could have stuck painting's on the wall with it. The Pad Thai was made with spaghetti noodles. Chef had no idea... More

Thank you for taking the time to complete a TripAdvisor review following your recent visit at MAI SAI PAK CHEE. Different from other restaurant, we are adding potato starchy in curries for rich and creamy texture. it has been cooked like this way since we have opened the shop, it is regretful that we can not make any changes for... I dinned at Mai Sai Pak Chee on Saturday night October 1st 2016. It is a lively and colourful location, the premises were clean and the wait staff friendly. But my Thai Beef Salad was awful. It consisted of lettuce mesclun mix, tomato, very badly cooked beef, and a dressing that may have had some fish sauce in it! Sad... More

I am disappointed to read your comments regarding Thai Beef Salad. I do understand that Yum sauce and fish sauce is hard to take for some people, so we state clearly them on our menu. However I will train my staff to verbally comment it again when it is ordered. I thank you for your feedback and look forward to... More

Just had a great lunch here - Chilli Seafood was wonderful and Nasi Goreng really good. Recommend for fresh dishes cooked to perfection.

Average place, central location. Funny that they say they are vegetarian friendly on tripsdvisor but there are no vegetarian options on the menu (ok except maybe spring rolls and one side dish). I ordered vegetarian red curry and asked if they had tofu or something to replace the meat but they didnt. So i got a red curry with a... More

We made a last minute decision to have a bite to eat in town on a lazy Saturday evening. Mai Sai Pak Chee was a really pleasant experience. We sat at a table outside. Tablecloths, candles and the accidental bonus of having a live musician playing close by made for a lovely atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. We love... More

The place is managed by some Chinese folks pretending to be Thai. So the food is what Chinese think that Australian believe that Thai food is... So any resemblance to real Thai food is entirely coincidental. Overall, the taste is just so and so, not terrible, they could do worse if they really set their minds to it, but definitely... More

First night in Cairns thought Thai would be good found Mai Sai Pak Chee and decided to take a punt. Menu was a bit disappointing I usually judge Thai on Larb and Som Tum. Waitress didn't know what Som Tum was and no Larb on the menu. Tried the Pad Thai which was a little underwhelming and seemed to miss... More

We were going somewhere else and passed this place on the way and decided to try it. Great flavours. Try the Thai salad, the one with egg. Good green curry. Seems they haven't been open long. Service could be a little more prompt.
