Came across RSL club on my first day in Cairns whilst walking along the boardwalk and decided to have an early dinner here. They are open for all-day dining. Whilst walk-ins are accepted, reservation is recommended as many tables were already reserved for sittings 6pm...onwards when I was there. Guests on covered outdoor terrace can enjoy the lovely sea breeze and sea view. Friendly hospitable staff. Roast dinner was generous and delicious, and reasonably priced.More

The Cairns RSL did lunch as well as any other in Cairns and probably at a slightly lower price. Not special , but typical and okay.

Am regular at RSL however last night went for dinner with family. They misjudged how many people would be there and literally ran out of roast dinner meals. I had Barra it sounded nice, for the price I received a small piece of fish dumped...on top of leftover roast cauliflower, pancetta was bacon overcooked and salad was dry.More

We discovered the Cairns RSL shortly after our late afternoon arrival at our nearby accommodation. We were tired after enduring airline travel glitches. We were made to feel very welcome even though it was a busy evening with most tables booked & enjoyed cold beverages...before eating dinner. While refueling we enjoyed watching the passing parade of people along the Esplanade. Later we took the opportunity to explore the historical displays about the WW2 war effort launched from Cairns. We returned here for 2 more meals later in our stay.More

We were staying close by and the RSL was our closest restaurant. If you are looking for good food at really good prices this is the place to go. Loved the parmas

Pleasant place to eat outdoors at the quiet end of Cairns esplanade. Our meals were disappointing. Steaks ordered medium rare were horribly overcooked and dry, dumped on top of chips making the chips very soggy.

Pleasant outdoor seating and friendly helpful staff. Very good air conditioning Reasonable priced meals

Had a catch up with friends here,friendly service, the food was pretty good, i booked a table and would suggest doing that as they were quite busy. The food was very nice and pretty good value.

The staff were fantastic and friendly. Really enjoyed the meal, chicken schnitzel, was very big though, so great value for money. My only criticism is the pepper was in the salt shaker

Nothing wrong with this RSL, in fact I think it is probably more modern than most. Staff were very helpful when I had no idea of what to do when playing pokies

This is not your average RSL, they have a good selection of dishes, not only the usual club grab. Have a nice outdoor terrace, overlooking the Esplanade, they are even open for coffee in the morning.
