We venture here pretty often, whether it be to finish off date night or just because we’re craving something sweet. My partner can’t have dairy or gluten so we are very limited on the places we trust. But we know for certain that if we come here she’s not only get a dessert that she can eat but one that she’ll enjoy with plenty of variety.

Bets ice cream in Cairns ! I'm from Florence and this is the most similar ice cream to the italian one. Just had tiramisu flavour and it was amazing ! Very nice and attentive service as well. Highly recommend visiting Gelocchio ! My 4 year old wants to come all the time here 😁 He loves raspberry and strawberry flavour. Also the ice cream is super fresh which is not always a given with other places. Wish it was closer to my home 😁

Amazing ice cream. Our sons were craving for one and we found this one. And guess the tooth fairy was there also. Our 6 year old had just lost his first tooth and he was offered an ice cream as a gift. Good service and delicious ice creams.

We felt this gelato quality was just like being in Italy! Very good and fresh ingredients with some local flavours. We tried pistachio, ferrero rocher, vanilla, rocky road and mint chocolate. The mint chocolate and pistachio were our favourites. They have a large selection of vegan gelatos as well and a solid selection of regular varieties. The portions are huge and we paid $7 for a cone and $8 for a large cup. The only thing we didn't like was that you had to order a large to get three flavours but it is also hard to not like more gelato! You may want to consider a small one if you don't want a lot. The shop is located near the Esplanade and the night market with many good restaurants and shops nearby.

Tried the gelatos after dinner at Yaya's Hellenic Kitchen opposite. It was a fantastic end to a great meal because the gelatos were really good. There were so many unusual flavours like dragonfruit and soursop. I enjoyed the soursop very much and can vouch that the flavour was really close to the real fruit, which incidentally, is one of my favourite fruits. The dragonfruit flavour was also good,

Absolutely love Gelocchio!!
Large range of flavours of both gelato and sorbet. Great value for money with generous serves.
Honestly the best ice cream in Cairns (I know I’ve tried them all)
Great service, especially the guy with the very dry sense of humour.
Every time I come up to Cairns we stop at Gelocchio, will definitely be back in the near future.

We tried the Apple guava sorbet, ferrero, bueno flavors and they were delicious. Also tried out a few other flavours - soursop, mango and dragonfruit which were quite good too. Definitely will come back again!

There's so much to like about this little gelato bar in Cairns. The flavours we tried were superb (especially the two with cherry, and the blood orange sorbet), the serves were generous, and we received wonderful service. We went back for more a couple of times during our stay in FNQ, and it will be the first place we head back to on our next visit to Cairns.

I’ve had gelato all over the world and this amazing storefront off of the Esplanade has the BEST gelato I’ve ever had. My family and I went there every day over our 4 days in Cairn me we tried most of the flavors. What I loved the most was that there were 12 vegan options - that’s right 12! Often times a place will have 2 or 3. At Gelocchio, there is something for everyone!

When it's warm Gelato is a great way to cool down! This place was the best, so many varieties to choose from. My husband had the Bundaberg Rum one on every visit and I tried a few different ones. Definitely will go back when we visit again.

As a treat we decided Gelato was our choice. So excited to see Soursop was a flavor option.
The serving was generous but I still wanted more.
Staff are friendly and the shop clean and well presented

If you’re looking for the best Italian Icecream in Cairns, Gelocchio is the place to go. There is a great variety including the most classic once. Not absolutely delicious only but for a very fair price as well. Love this place!
