We enjoyed our time at Aqualuna, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were seated right next to the Aquarium so the kids could watch the fish, sharks and rays while we were eating lunch. My daughter ordered the kids ‘make your own pizza’...More

There is a menu with prices on their website. It includes a very nice kids menu with fresh ingredients prepared and presented in a pleasing kid friendly way. Sometimes adults are not wanting a full sized meal and are able to order from this menu. This menu was offered to me and my friends last Sunday evening. We politely declined as there was much on the extensive menu we wanted to try and try we did. Thank goodness we are all friends as we were able to have a taste of 7 different items from the dinner selections and every one was a winner. The mushroom risotto was the best I had ever tasted, a silky creamy bowl full rich earthy fungi flavour. I wish I had ordered it until I tasted my own slipper lobster (Morton Bay Bugs) with angle hair pasta dish. The steak was declared outstanding. Beautifully presented and full of colour and flavour was the lamb with pappardelle. Thanks for your question as it allows me to add to my preview review. I have now dined here four times for breakfast lunch and dinner. They are still experiencing some teething problems but are diligently with patience plus humour managing to slowly wrangle the kitchen and floor staff into a cohesive team who are there to serve and ensure you enjoy your experience. Opening from early to late it is busy, buzzy during the day and magic at night with the backlit fish tank creating a warm calming rather romantic feeling. The menu is written in Italian as it should be in an Italian restaurant but of course with English translations which is great. Many of the staff are multilingual which is advantageous to our welcome visitors from many countries. You and your children will have a friendly and sophisticated dining experience as this restaurant is well on its way to becoming a must do in Cairns.
