We had a great meal here after arriving in Cairns and we were so positively surprised about the quality and friendliness of the service. We were given recommendations, my daughter's special request was perfectly taken care of and when the food came out it was absolutely delicious and just perfectly done. We had two large specialty burgers and a salad - we would definitely eat here again!

We decided to visit here after seeing the reviews on trip advisor and I can agree that this Burger Cafe is definitely 5 stars. I wish we had one closer to home although my waistline wouldn’t agree.
We ordered 2 Brunch Burgers (2 bacon, sausage, hash brown, egg, cheese and BBQ sauce). The burgers were both large with plenty of filling and came with chips.
We also ordered a Peking Duck Burger (duck patty, hoisin sauce, cucumber and spring onion) when it arrived I wasn’t expecting a lot with it being a duck burger patty and not shredded duck but WOW it blew my mind and my taste senses went in to overdrive. It was just like the duck pancakes. I couldn’t eat all mine especially with the chips but I also couldn’t throw it away so it served me another meal later in the day.
I highly recommend CBC.

Great service, the little things count. We'd ordered take away to pick up and we were offered a choice of dipping sauces for our chips at no extra charge. Really great food, you can't go wrong. The BBQ burger was the bomb, looking forward to trying some others.

Such a let down and will never get good from here again.
Food was ok, lots of burnt chips though and after getting a take away order sat at an empty table for a minute while friend fixed her shoe that had broke on the way there. Was immediately approached and told we had ordered take away and need to leave as tables are only for dine in customers, other customers waiting on orders appeared to be sitting at tables waiting. Very disappointing & approach taken to ask us to leave was rude. the girl that approached spoke loudly and abrupt! Signage should be displayed to advise that “take away customers can not sit at the table even for a second”.
Called the owner and he advised the employee acted under instruction from him and offered a 10% discount but I would rather not return.

It is hard to believe this restaurant has the No. 1 rating for Cairns. The burger was quite good but the chips were dry and crusty. For around $20, I would expect something exceptional.
The big disappointment for me was paying $8 for a Mango Smoothie that promised Mango and Yoghurt flavour. The yoghurt was most definitely present but the nearest mango is still at the market.

I have eaten everything on this menu. I can tell you if chicken is what you want than I love the Far North burger. Its delicious and that sweet onion jam works wonders on the taste buds. Looking for steak, the pub steak is great. Its easier to eat than the open steak sandwich, both had delicious steaks cooked nicely and the juices mixed nicely with the other flavours, and my husband loves the double cheeseburger, simple flavours that always works. Want vegie instead of meat, look no further than the Vegan, the bread is wonderful and the sweet potato fitter is yummy. Sides, love the sweet potato fries, soft yet still hear the crisp batter. Can't have bread, than the option to have it in a bowl is wonderful to add to the menu. So thoughtful, as are the gluten free rolls. Iced chocolate yummy. But my favourite 2 things on the menu are the satay chicken sauce, which you have to buy the satay chicken for... they don't let you order it for your chips :(, and the thickshakes, doesn't matter the flavour, beautiful and thick served in cold metal cups so it stays colder for longer.
Light music and a cosy atmosphere top this place off, with such wonderful staff, who are very friendly and are just wonderful people. They help make this place the best dang burger place I have ever eaten from in Australia.

Had the vegetarian burger. Delicious. The owners and staff wer very attentive, service was prompt and it was busy for a Wednesday night. Recommended by friends and did not disappoint. Great selection of burgers, would be hard to not find something you liked.

This great little place is a couple of streets back from the main restaurant area in Cairns but it is well worth the effort to find.
There is a very extensive menu with a few different options for vegetarians a vegan burger and GF buns. They are Open all day and with breakfast served until the afternoon.
We had an early dinner here after a day trip on the reef and loved our burgers - I would go as far as to say it was the best burger I have ever had and the onion rings were amazing. The sevice is excelent, friendly and efficent.
I only wish we had of come here more times during our visit to try more of the burgers.

You can’t go wrong with this cafe! Their menu offers several types of burgers to tantalise your tastebuds and you can tell they’re created with love. The vegetarian was superb, the ingredients simply just work to create an explosion in your mouth! I’m drooling thinking about it as I type this review!!! You can order starters and kids meals plus dessert if you still have any room in your tummy. Service with a smile - when you’re after a burger, this is THE place :)

Really yummy burgers, chips are standard.
I thought they were a little small but I was more than full once finished so really was a perfect amount. Burger ingredients super fresh possibly could change there chips and add a little more ingredients into there burgers but would definitely recommend. Well priced

We were looking for somewhere dog friendly as doggo travels with us. The burgers were generous and tasty, they customised a smoothie for me, and the aioli with my sweet potato fries was outstanding. If we were here longer, we'd come back!

Too many items on advertised menu not available. Then I ordered what is on menu and they can't do it due to poor planning and shopping not having ingredients for thier meals. Disappointing as we travelled from other side of cairns to eat here

Thought we would try The Burger cafe after reading good reviews, we keep going back love the Burgers and the chips. Well done to the the owner see you soon. Covid19 has not stoped us from eating awesome burgers.

Really nice burgers. Pattie’s are made fresh on the premises and taste delicious! Nice chips too…Only one guy serving and making the food, but it was great (assume it’s the owner). Service was excellent, which was a testament to the Owner.

Delicious burgers and very friendly staff. Onion rings were cold and over priced. Chips need more cooking. Would try this place again though, lots of variety and very fresh ingredients. Worth a visit for sure!
