Our table was dirty, the food was horrific, the waitress had no idea what we were talking to her about and I couldn’t even finish my dinner, and that IS a first cause I am a greedy person. BUT, we were starving, so we ate...our food, paid for it and was happy to be on our way and never return. Owner asked how it was and we told the truth, the spaghetti bolognese was literally a bowl full (and I mean full) of oil and pasta with mince sprinkled on top. So we told her, and her reply was, it’s supposed to have a little oil in. Now we all come from Italy, so we are aware of how a Bolognese is supposed to be presented, and it’s not swimming in oil. “All these years we’ve been open and we’ve never had a complaint about it before” that’s fine Sheila, but maybe your chef didn’t throw in a pint of oil every other time he served it, or maybe your customers love oil soup, but grab some good old customer service skills from your many years of owning a restaurant and say sorry you didn’t enjoy it! We had already paid so just be polite! Talk about bad hospitality.More

This family owned restaurant has been around for 33 years! Our meals were good, but not remarkable - we liked our tortellini and Italian salad but didn't like the salmon pasta. The lemon crostata was amazing - really delicious and large enough for two. The...service was super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. You can also BYO!More

Great Menu, so many enticing choices, meals did not disappoint. Really friendly and pleasant staff. Good selection of beers and wines, Enjoyed waitress's 2 Italian beer recommendations. This surpassed dining experience we had in Eagle St, there's no great view but the food is quality...and service superb. Veal and seafood menus are as good as the earlier reviews I see for pasta and pizza.More

We had a couple of hours sans kids and decided to try somewhere local we hadn’t tried before. What a find! Beautiful, fresh Italian food and great city views! I think I over-garliced with the garlic bread and garlic prawns, but it was worth it!...A definite new local favourite!More

We visit Zio Mario's often. It has very delicious food and you can dine in or get takeaway. The capricosa pizza, carbonara, marinara and chocolate mousse are all delicious. The decore is a little tiered but it adds to the relaxed feel. If you are...looking for fantastic food you must visit 🍕🍽More

Great Italian restaurant. Good place for an inexpensive tasty "home cooked" pasta. The marinara was excellent.

We visit this restaurant weekly now...I know...we have a problem haha! I got home late from work one day and didn't feel like cooking or going out so we ordered takeaway for a change. Food was still absolutely perfect, servings are HUGE (you better be...hungry!) I really cannot rave about this place any more, if you want authentic food and experience then do yourself a favour and visit.More

The food was average, I had the marinara but I must say it's not worth $25. My partner had the lasagna, it was just one small piece without sides, $20. Will not being going back.

Hi there! Yep you can take your own wine last time I checked. Their wine is very reasonably priced though if you forget your own bottle :)
