Have long wanted to try this veteran local Italian. Having booked well in advance, our family was sat at a table in the hallway section that also serves as the gangway for a steady stream of Uber Eats picker-uppers. Garlic pizza bread for starters came...out quickly enough - fine without being much more than a hole-filler for the hungry tribe. Mains took quite some time, and included a wrong order when they did arrive. Which meant one of our hungry younger diners had to wait even longer to eat. I had the cannelloni. Spruiked as home made, the meat sauce lack seasoning and depth of flavour - bland and far from a taste of home made Italian family cooking. The bill which included a glass of wine that never arrived, was hefty for what the food was circa $150 for a family of four with a couple of soft drinks and 2 glasses of wine. Won’t be hurrying back.More

Stopped by after flying into Brisbane on a Saturday night, we were warming and quickly welcomed and shown to a table. Very quick order time and when you're hungry, this makes a massive difference. Entrees out very quickly, 6 meals to the table shortly after....Great service, great food. The family got a variety, including Margarita Pizza, Spag Bol, and some others, all very tasty. It's a sign of the quality when you have paramedics and fireys stop by for a feed, and my experience solidifies that we'll be back.More

Just the smell alone of the food walking pass the restaurant is enough to draw you in and you won't be disappointed when you do go in. The food is authentic, fresh and amazing. The service is also exceptional, the staff are on the go...no stop but you are never trying to get their attention as they are on to it before you get a chance to call them. Very friendly. We could not fault anything there ...highly recommend.More

Visited for dinner. It has been over 30 years since our last visit. We were not disappointed. The venue is virtually the same and very old school Italian. We hope that remains. The waiter service is exceptional. Our waiter was brilliant. A Scottish lass who...looked after us so very well. We had fresh oysters followed by veal schnitzel, one of Gino's signature dishes. It did not disappoint. The oysters were so fresh they were clearly delivered that day. Gino's is also famous for takeaway pizza and was very busy on this Friday night. The takeaway collections area adjoins the sit down area and impinges because of the crowd numbers and noise. It's a shame but cannot be rectified unless by major renovation of the venue. Somewhat impracticable so just tolerate the distraction. We will be returning soon to explore other options on the menu. We won't be waiting another 30 years.More

I went here with a couple of friends on the first night of covid-19 restrictions being lifted and the food was fantastic as per usual and the service second to none. Make sure you check them out, one of the best Italian restaurants in Brisbane.

Arrived for a meal just after opening time so there were not many customers. The service was excellent. Chilled water was delivered almost immediately by a very friendly staff member. Nothing seemed to be a problem. Good variety of food on the menu. Ordered the...chicken schnitzel and chicken parmigiana. Didn't have to wait long and both meals were generous and very tasty at a reasonable price. Overall an excellent experience. Would certainly go back again.More

My partner and I came for dinner tonight at Gino’s and found the food to be very average. The pizza was good and reasonable for the price but the ravioli pasta was very disappointing. It appeared to be what you would buy in the heat...up aisle at Coles so definitely not worth the $25. My recommendation to Gino’s would be to source a new pasta supplier.More

I had an Entree of half a dozen oysters, there was plenty of bacon and not enough sauce. All places are different when it comes to killpatric oysters. The chicken Parma was very good. The desert I had a cookies and cream cake. Very delicious...In total I would give it 4 stars. It is BYO alcohol too. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back againMore
