Right from the samosa chaat to the ravishing punjabi bakra it was all Fantastic food, great service and friendly staff. A great place to eat when in Brisbane. It is one of our favorites. We have been there a number of times with friends and...family. We have always had a good experience there. The food is very good and waiting staff ( the family themselves served us) are exceptionally nice.More

As a new customer I decided to give this restaurant ago and visited on April 23rd this year. I thought ok, best to help small business during these turbulent times. I go in, and waited for like over 75 minutes. When I went there I...was sure of what I was ordering but needed to take some time to pick a dish for my choosy vegetarian friend who was in a nearby hospital. I was taking a bit of time to choose and genuinely had questions about ingredients. The young lady on the counter was a trainee and didn't have much of clue and she went to ask the one of the chefs. I had a few questions and not only did this young girl ask, but also her colleague Kiran who was very polite and obliging. However, the chef lost his temper on both the ladies and started admonishing them in Hindi. When the ladies translated to me what he was saying, their translation wasn't quite accurate. I also know the language very well and what it sounded to me was like a scolding an impatient headmaster gives schoolkids & and that he should not chide others - I was extremely furious and nonplussed - and that he should not chide others as it if it was a scene from kindergarten class. Furthermore, what he was saying was, to try and make me wait aside the main counter so that others could be served before me, despite the fact I had been waiting for some time! I got the order, but one of the dishes was incorrect - the vegetarian dish turned out to be perfect as per the review by my Australian amigo - the dish was SUBZ MAKHANWALLA, and he loved it so much he wanted me to pass on his thoughts here. But to my displeasure, the CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA I ordered was a BUTTER CHICKEN instead / The chicken was stringy and came apart and was surrounded by this horrible looking orange sauce. I rang Kiran a week later and said I would like to give the restaurant one more chance to redeem themselves (I also asked if I could speak to the gentleman owner so that I could sort it out amicably, but that request was declined) rather than leave a bad review as I am very well aware that negative reviews can be costly. However, I went back only yesterday (exactly 2 weeks later, on May 7th). And this time I was admonished by the narcissistic female owner who accused me of bullying her staff and she kept on saying that I must support business during covid - I had no problem agreeing with her there and I also said the entire reason I came back was to give them a fair chance to redeem themselves. She continued yelling and screaming and accused me of bullying when I just replied her that either they have one final chance to redeem themselves or they could take a hike and I could walk out of there. I was not rude one bit but firm and fair. I also brought up the attitude of the chef, to which she staunchly defended him saying "I know him 5 years etc if there is an issue in future kindly contact out management team" - I was not to know this until that day. Also the naans in the original order were burnt and my entire part of the original order had to be thrown out. The female owner grudgingly replaced my order as if she was doing me a favor and not knowing the adage "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". Food was great and thank you to all your staff for a job well done but the female owner's narcissistic attitude was a huge turn off. Prior to her unwanted outburst, I was planning on having my birthday party at this restaurant as am an avid cricket fan and was going to call 20 of my mates as well from interstate and QLD as well. The female owner's bad attitude has put me off for the time being and they really need to reflect their attitude and learn to accept constructive criticism. When I advised the owner I understood every word of Hindi, she was surprised and taken aback as if a lightning jolt hit her. IT IS NOT A CHEF'S place to play boss and and be a bully. That said food was great and I am glad they were able to rectify the mistake, hence am giving a 5, however the service and general attitude was a BIG FAT ZERO. Also, the only professional staff member throughout this ordeal was Kiran - she is a great lady and a true asset to your organisation. I am sad to say this I had truly high hopes for this restaurant but I will celebrate my next birthday elsewhere where the management and staff are welcoming and not narcissistic. Also a very bad sign for those who cannot take constructive feedback. Well below average attitude but food was tip top! I may return here after a couple of years to see if things have improved or stayed the same. I encourage others to give the food a try, but avoid all interaction with the narcissistic female owner who needs a severe attitude adjustment and retraining in customer service, and possibly anger management as well!!!!! 3rd chance - I attended the place one last time last night (June 5th) once again harangued by the owner. This time the husband came over and started yelling. He kept on saying 'You don't have a heart, leaving a bad review. Look at my kids". I was considering removing my original review of 5 stars, and honestly thought of the kids but then his pipsqueak of a nephew said he would call police on me for "trespassing" - this was the last straw and infuriated me to no end. These folks are not only narcissists but quite rude, violent and insane as well. Avoid at all costs in future and never return. Hopefully anyone with common-sense will avoid this place.More

This was supposed to be a treat for us after a long and tiring trek, and this is self-explanatory how excited we were for our meal here. The interiors are done in the manner that it reminds you the the cricket (another Indian obsession) stadium...in Kolkata. Our excitement after eating the Chilly chicken had increased. Wow! What flavors coating cubes of very succulent and juicy chicken. But, what followed was a total.disaster. Roghan Josh had died any deaths after tasting this one. Even though the meat was beautifully cooked, but, Tomato? Tomato Ketchup? Sweet? Roghan Josh is the death of it. This was conveyed to the attendant.when she requested a feedback. Naan was nicely cooked, and no complains there. Portions are big, and pricing is inexpensive, and just for the sake of improving, which they can and will, we have tried to not be mean.More

We came here last minute on NYE. The waitress was super helpful and was able to help us to find a gluten free meal. The food was so good, one of the best Indian I've had.

The wife and I went here for dinner last week. The meals we had were all very good and the spice level was as asked. Prices are fairly good and the restaurant is BYO. The only thing that let the place down was the service,...we were given seats and menu's then forgotten about, we had to go looking for a waitress to take our order.More

Read some good reviews of this restaurant so walked a fair way to get there for dinner tonight and it was SO worth it. I decided on a couple of entrees instead of a big curry and chose the Chicken Tikka and the Samosas with...chick peas. The BEST samosas and accompaniments ever and fantastic Tikka. Also had some Raita and garlic naan which were great too. If the rest of the menu is anywhere near as good as the dishes I had, this should be an award winning restaurant. Highly recommended to all 👍More

The dishes are delicious and in good portion sizes. My personal favourite is the chicken Tikaa, but the curries are beautiful too. Service speed needs to be improved, but the staff are really friendly.

We are well accustomed to Indian cuisine from within Australia and UK and we have high expectations. Eden Garden was our choice for dinner due to its Trip Advisor and Google reviews. We were not disappointed. Between the six of us we had Lamb Vindaloo,...Chicken Rogan Josh, Chicken Korma, Mango Chicken, Paneer Tikka, Malai Kofta and Tandoori Chicken and chips for our little one who has allergies. Our lovely, attentive waitress asked us whether we wanted our food cooked to a spicy Australian or Indian heat. We chose Indian. Our meals were absolutely delicious. So tasty, perfect size portions. I’m vegetarian and the Malai Kofta and Paneer Tikka were beautiful, not dry (like I’ve had in some restaurants) and were full of flavour. My husband and the other 3 children that shared the meat curries all had big smiles and the conversation was how enjoyable and tasty the food was. My little one thoroughly enjoyed her dinner and the chef came out to give her and our other youngest a Ferrerro Rocher. We ate the lot, we didn’t think we’d be that hungry but the food was so good! In summary, we highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious, fresh and flavoursome food, caring and attentive staff and wide ranging menu. We had a wonderful night there and hope to back again soon.More
