Service us very good and nice venue. Food is good but wgat spoilt it for us was no flexibility. We asked for egg not to be placed on top of one of specials. Happy to pay same and no substitute. Unable to do. I had...gnochhi which was lovely and did come with egg on top. Odd addition and wasn't needed and poached was more like hard boiled. Small thing but a bit disappointingMore
Atmosphere is great with friendly staff and an overall relaxing vibe to it and most importantly the food is fantastic. We tried 4 different dishes and were all delicious and very reasonably priced!
What a great little find - the cafe is on a corner in a suburban area, and is quite shed like. The food and service is excellent. The menu is plentiful and some quite unusual combinations however it works. I have eaten there about 5...times now and have never been let down!More
I’ve eaten lunch here several times in the past month while trying to settle my 96 year old mother into a nearby aged care home. I love the ambience. Dining on the terrace has been very comfortable in this warm weather and feels COVID safe....There a considerable menu that would suit most palates. Everything has been delicious and well presented withI one exception. The Moroccan chicken, while very tender, lacked the punchy distinctive flavours of Moroccan cuisine. In every other way it’s been an excellent lunchtime experience.More
We don't normally come by this area, and I'm not even sure if we had been to Banyo before. However, it is a lovely area, with a nice vibe - just like this little café we stumbled across on our way to a Boondall wetlands...walk. The service was A+, our waiter was very friendly. The food was delicious, and felt truly home made, rather than something bought in bulk from a company. The view out to the train station with the flowering pink crepe myrtles was also very quaint.More
Came here with my sister and Nan last weekend! We were lucky to dine out just before lockdown. I loved how beautifully presented the meals were. They really take their time to pack a simple breakfast dish full of flavour. The coffee was beautiful and strong....The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We came at around 10am on a Saturday morning and were found a table straight away however i could see there were a lot of reservation signs on tables so probably best to book if you have a larger group. Food came out in a reasonable time as well! Best cafe on the northside in my opinion, ticks all the boxes ❤️! Will definitely be coming back with the rest of the family post lockdown.More
Great food, lovely service and atmosphere. Simple menu that changes every 3 months or so. Definitely worth a visit. Pram friendly. Coffee is delicious and vegetarian food is highly recommended
We booked a large table of 9 plus 3 kids for Mother’s Day - was never told it was a high tea when we booked . When we arrived and sat down we were told it was $36pp for a few tiers of pastries, mini...muffins, scones and a couple of mini hot dishes. They told us a message was sent out regards to the high tea to all bookings however there was nothing mentioned about the high tea in our message, they were only confirming numbers. We explained this to the waiter and we got no apology. We decided to stay as we knew the food at putia is always good however we were still unhappy about the high tea and were looking forward to ordering from their regular breakfast menu. We waited for 1hour 15 mins to be served mini cakes and mini croissants and an orange juice each. Poor service and communication from waiters, we enquired a couple of times regarding where our food was, especially as we were waiting on food for the children and they were getting restless, the waiter didn’t apologize and instead stated ‘well you guys were standing up talking and socializing so we didn’t put the order through yet’ and were also told there were other groups in front of us, however the restaurant had multiple empty tables and we were booked for 9am, they knew how many people were coming the food should have been started or almost ready for when we arrived as it was pre booked. Most of us left hungry and couldn’t believe we paid $36 pp for a few mini muffins, cakes and pastries!! Putia has always been amazing for food and service but this was terrible and not worth the money. When we were paying we were asked how it was, we told them we weren’t very happy and again no acknowledgement from staff or management. There were also other people at the restaurant who arrived and weren’t aware we were locked into a high tea brunch style meal. Very disappointing for mother’s day.More
Great food, really great. The staff were lovely. We booked a table and asked if mum could bring her little dog. When we got there a bowl of water was already beside the table. Will definitely be going back for more.
Who knew you could get this quality of food and taste sensations in the deep north of suburban Brisbane? Banyo in-fact holds a truely great secret now to be revealed - Putia Pure Foods chef Sheena has gone all out with simple ingredients to make...our mouth water and our eyes roll in pure delight!More
Wonderful! Our brunch for eight people was a breeze here, with universal agreement that our meals were delicious. Between us we sampled six of their dishes and all exceeded expectations. The menu had something for everyone, the atmosphere is quirky rustic, and the staff friendly,...polite, and efficient. I find myself wishing either that I lived closer, or that they’d open a place closer to me! I’ll be back, and I’ll be bringing my friends. Highly recommended.More
We were regular visitors until we moved from the area, but after a short while, we found ourselves making the trek back! The food is always excellent (try the pancakes!!!) and every staff member is friendly, welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend!
Winter Harvest Bowl... an absolute must have. Taste sensation of wonderful flavours. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Will go back again. Thank you chefs.
This is a great little cafe with such a nice atmosphere and food choices. Food was amazing with great serving sizes and options. What made the experience even better was their amazing service and staff. Would definitely recommend and come back again to try more!
