Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were exploring Fish Lane and impulsive decided to have dinner here. It is a very busy and popular place. We enjoyed 2 pasta dishes, which were really good. The food came really fast, so the whole meal was over in no time. The service...was friendly, but it also seems to be focused on being speedy, so lots of people can come through.More

I hadn’t finished my pizza when my plate was extracted from the table. My family were still eating their under average pasta. My wine glass was taken unfinished and we were presented with the bill before my family were finished with their food and drinks....I commented on the urgency and was advised does this not happen in your country. Absolutely not and I’ve never experienced it in your country. It felt like a quick pizza/pasta express. I defo would not recommend and this ha been my worst experience travelling AustraliaMore

A very cozy pizzeria with very good food and friendly/enthusiastic staff. We received a very pleasant treatment. We were in Brisbane for 2 days and had dinner here both evenings. Highly recommended. Greetings from the Dutchies

Cane and the team at Julius are always welcoming and friendly. Food 10/10 (Capriccoisa pizza, serving side serve of brocollini) and a couple of delicious cocktails by the bar staff) made for a relaxing late lunch today.

We stopped for pizza for dinner on our travels around Oz and this was the best pizza ever! Reasonable price £20pp for a pizza and beer/wine. Would highly recommend

This was just about the best woodfired pizza we have had (including Ladro in Melb, Hemingways in Port Douglas and myriad others). Sensational margheritas - not too cheesy, base not too thick or thin, and crust a touch of salt. Amazing. The pizza was so...good we went back the next night and added some delicious potato/rosemary potatoes. Very polite and friendly staff. I know it's a hospo thing, but the guy who took my order the night before gave me a "Hey, Tim" greeting when we popped in the next night. Nice touch. Side note: We're allergic to garlic so usually check if the tomato base has garlic. Very happily, Julius uses a plain base so we were delighted to be able to enjoy 2 Marg's for our family, who was on hol in Brisbane. Rest of the menu looks super also.More

A great lunch in West End. The pizzas were scrumptious but the gluten free duck ragout was disappointing and quite bland. It is a shame that they don’t carry gluten free bases, so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy their pizza.

This small venue at the end of Fish Lane delivers on flavour and service. The kitchen is on view and this adds to the buzz. The prices are a bit high especially for the beer but the experience is worth it.

Wanted to see Fish Lane come alive at night and saw a table for 2 available outside under the heaters. Perfect and quiet people watching space. Inside packed. Service amazingly quick and friendly. He had the daily special of schnapper (thick fillet, no bones) and...I enjoyed the veal scallopini. Shared the tiramisu. Everything fresh and gently enjoyable. Deservedly popular venue.More

My husband is INSANELY picky when it comes to pizza. Hates it soggy, must be authentic, hand rolled and crispy on the edges. We both agreed that these were the best pizzas we've had outside of Italy. We had to wait 45min for a table...but it was well worth it!More

The service was amazing from the minute we asked for a table to when we left. Food was extraordinary. The focaccia as starter made out mouths water for our mains.
