Had dinner hear one night whilst staying in the hotel. As per title we did not have the Teppayaki but ordered from the menu. Food was delightful and surprisingly good value seeing the mains come with a Japanese salad and rice. Service was a little slow due to a couple of large groups. We were not worried and our friendly waiter/manager bought us some complementary Miso soup which was an appreciated gesture. Looking forward to returning for the full experience. Rob

Myself, two girlfriends and my teenage son were lucky enough to spend an evening with Chef Miguel who was engaging, talented and very entertaining. The food was delicious from start to finish, the staff very attentive with impeccable service. I still have no idea how my son caught his fried rice, tossed to him without a bowl?! I can't wait to re-visit Kabuki next time we are in the city. Book in advance to ensure you get a table.

We’ve visited this restaurant multiple times and cannot rate it highly enough. Chefs are extremely talented as well as entertaining. Recently attended the NYE event and the food and drinks package was good value for money despite its higher price point. So much food and my champagne glass was always full. A complimentary glass of champas and a view of the fireworks from the Stamford really was the cherry on top for us! Service has been great from all staff members but Chef Miguel was a stand out. He’s a very engaging and accomodating chef who did a fabulous job on each course. It is clear he is very passionate about his job and his enthusiasm is infectious! We had such a fabulous time! Thank you Miguel!

We dined at Kabuki on 20.01.2020 and while the experience and food was good, members of our party became violently ill with diarrhoea shortly after leaving. Naturally this sudden turn for the worse has ruined what was a good night. We brought our illness to the attention of the restaurant in the following morning and received a phone call from the Manager that evening, who started questioning the validity of our claims, tried to blame our previous meals for the sickness and was very dismissive which was infuriating. No apology, or refund was was offered, they just dismissed it. We expected better service and hygiene from the restaurant and while I originally wasn’t going to publicly post our experience, the dismissive nature of the staff that called us was unforgivable.

Dear seasoned-adventurer Thank you for dining at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant recently. We were very disappointed to receive your feedback and are addressing the matter. Testament to our commitment to deliver the best food quality, we have voluntarily adopted the best practice of HACCP which is a stringent food safety management programme which in turn guarantees strict food safety measures and accountability. This certification does not come easily and we are one of the few venues in Brisbane which holds this certification. Our Food and Beverage Manager called immediately upon receiving the details of your experience. His approach, as is our process, is to gain as much information as possible to enable a thorough investigation to take place. Part of this process is to understand and record the timings of both when you were dining at Kabuki as well as meals consumed prior to arriving at the restaurant. Our F&B Manager advised that our General Manager would call back to discuss further after fully investigating the situation. Our General Manager then contacted you at which time you advised that you would call back at a more convenient time. We noted that your call back occurred quite some time later. While we were pleased to hear that your restaurant experience was good, we are of course concerned to hear of the experience once you left the restaurant and we are addressing these concerns with the upmost attention. We are committed to continuing communication directly with you to ensure that you are satisfied with follow up and outcome. Best Wishes The Kabuki Team

Never had Japanese before as I am a basic aussie bloke, I am a converted now I tried Teppanyaki, wow that was some great food. Chef Miguel was a blast, great at what he done, interacted with every person in a friendly way, funny man and cannot speak highly enough of him. We will def be back in near future.

Dear Andrew M Thank you for your review. It's also so great to reach such great feedback. We pride ourselves on using some of Australia's most premium produce and it sounds like it was much appreciated. Chef Miguel is a star which glows very brightly. Please come back soon and in the meantime we will pass on your great feedback to Miguel and the team. With best wishes The Kabuki Team

He is amazing at entertaining us and made my sisters birthday very special. He was funny and made the experience very fun. He also made my little brother feel very welcomed and included in all the egg catching and fried rice catching. We had an excellent time here! Food was amazing and would definitely come back!

This was one of the finest places I have had dinner recently. I was served by “Rachel” who is absolutely the host one could ask for. She reads you and recommends what will you love. She ensures that you have the most memorable time and their delicious meal will make you feel "take me back" right when you step outside the place.

Our family enjoyed dinner at Kabuki on a Friday evening. We have had teppanyaki before but this was our first visit to Kabuki I enjoyed a red lotus cocktail on arrival. Miss 12 had the children's beef set menu, Mr BG the Kaede and I had the Tsubaki. We had a ball, our chef was hilarious and got the whole table engaged. There was our group of 3, a family of 4 and another couple. The groups were socially distanced with an empty seat between each group which was appreciated The staff were attentive, and so discrete. The meal service ran like clockwork and our 2 hour sitting passed quickly. I am no athlete and managed to not catch my bowl of rice and wore it but I haven't laughed that hard in ages! A fun dinner and show experience with the family

This would be our 6th or 7th visit to Kabuki - we absolutely love the food and entertainment. Out of all our visits, this was our most memorable - made particularly so by our Teppanyaki Chef Miguel. Miguel was entertaining as we expected, but also very informative and made the experience even more enjoyable. He conversed with the entire group throughout dinner and it was clear that everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed the night. Well done Miguel - our son really enjoyed his most recent visit to Kabuki.

Had the 7pm teppanyaki sitting with Chef Wong. Made the experience fun, a lot of interaction/banter and food throwing (eggs and fried rice). good service from waiters and supervisors as well. The dessert green tea ice cream was a good finisher. Do not wear expensive clothing, because food will be thrown at you with 50% accuracy.

What a unique experience 😊 The entertainment and food were 5 stars. Initial thought, it was pricey, but the amount of food received and the entertainment. Worth it! Neil was a gentleman, cheeky, entertaining, creative and fun. Thank you, Neil!!! Neil also, thank you for being so allergy conscious. I appreciate you accommodating me. Rachael thank you for your impeccable attention, patience and always making sure we were good. Looking forward to dining there again. Also best car park is Eagle Street Pier (after 4pm) weekdays, cost $18. (Right, right, right, can see it on your right. This is if you are driving past the restaurant and the Wilson carpark) The Wilson which is located directly next to them were closing at 1800h. Expensive and don't waste your time

Quality food, fantastic service and great selection for adults and kids. The vegetarian meal was huge and selection of Japanese drinks for adults and kids completed the evening. Rosette was a fantastic host for the evening. Couldn’t ask form more to celebrate a special birthday.

Kabuki put on a show that did not disappoint. We were there as a small group of 3 and felt just as important as the larger groups. Enjoying the Fuji spread, along with some prawn cutlets, karaage chicken and the scallops (which were to die for...) we came away from the restaurant feeling very full and satisfied. The lamb cutlets were amazing. So tender and cooked perfectly. The only down side was that as a Victorian, the venue was stinking hot inside (flames don't help either I guess). It would have been just a little more enjoyable for me personally if it was better cooled. But again, super satisfied and glad to have been able to dine here.

Dear DebraM Thanks so much for your review and great to hear you had a terrific night out at Kabuki. Chef Miguel is always pleased to receive positive feedback. He works hard practicing his tricks and working on his teppanyki cooking skills and it looks like the hard work is paying off. We will be sure to pass this on to him. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes The Kabuki Team
