This really is classy restaurant located right on the water by the restaurant district of downtown Brisbane. We were lucky but reservations are strongly advised. Camille, our French waitress, made us feel as we were in a top restaurant in France. Professional and yet friendly....More

The waiter was nice and efficient. The servings were sufficient. The wine was nice. The food was on the tasteless side. The chef is clearly afraid of strong flavours. The prices were acceptable. They claimed they had wifi but it never worked for me. Not...More

Most of us jumped on the Rivercat at Newfarm for the short journey to Eagle Street Pier which is the best time to appreciate the Brisbane River (in the dark so you can't see it) and the pretty city lights but parking is available nearby....More

We visited for a set lunch during our stay at the Stamford. None of our six dishes were anything special, but there was also nothing unpalatable about them...just standard 80s/90s Brisbane Italian food that doesn't measure up to similar restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. Staff...More

We recently went for dinner to il Centro. Cannot fault the food or the service. Everything was incredible. Special note for the amazing crab lasagne, confit duck and the crispy skin barramundi. All cooked to perfection. We were lucky enough to be sitting outside to...More

Yes they do. But it's only one kind as their menu gives you more delightful options to choose from.

I would definitely dress well, no sneakers, t-shirts, thongs etc. There was an american couple eating there on the night we went and they were in shorts and joggers, not cool. Lots of trendy bars nearby for a cheeky after... More

Il Centro has long been regarded as one of Brisbane's best restaurants. Located in the heart of Brisbane's premier dining precinct, Eagle Street Pier, the multi-award-winning restaurant enjoys sweeping views of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge.

Since 1992, we've provided guests with a fine balance of casual yet elegant al fresco and indoor dining with a modern Italian flavour. Our innovative menu and superb location have made us a popular rendezvous for Brisbane's business community, local residents and visitors alike.

Regular guests and first time diners always feel welcome at Il Centro. Good old-fashioned hospitality has been a major ingredient for our continued success. Your hosts, owners Andy and Marcia Georges, together with restaurant manager, Zahir Meher- Homji and sommelier, Shawn Gomes, have a gift for making guests feel like old friends. And this is an attitude you'll find instilled in all our staff.

Our innovative modern Italian menu has a distinctly Queensland spin - best illustrated by our signature dish, the legendary Sand Crab Lasagne. And our executive chef, Catherine Anders, uses only the freshest local produce (including Queensland's best seafood and prime cuts) to create a selection to tempt all tastes.

If you're planning on joining us soon, why not stop off for a pre-dinner drink at Andy and Marcia's celebrated cocktail bar, Mr & Mrs G Riverbar. The welcoming bar is opposite the restaurant, overlooking the river.

Il Centro in the ideal setting for private functions and special events. We have a number of set menus available to suit your occasion. If you have an enquiry please call us.

We look forward to the pleasure of your company very soon.
