Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for lunch midweek: booked but would not have been necessary. It is a large and pleasant venue, the staff are friendly and very efficient and it has an excellent menu. Too much good stuff to try. We opted for the weekday special set lunch,...but added a couple of extra starters we wanted to try. All food was excellent and whilst servings are not large, we left feeling well satisfied. Go to place, I think, for stour Spanish food hit.More

Came here for the Paul McCartney set menu pre concert dinner with some family. Had high expectations as the last time I was here 5 years ago for lunch I was very impressed. Unfortunately we all thought the food was very pedestrian to say the...least. It was all quite bland and the set menu seemed to be ill thought out. The dishes did not complement each other well. For example the strange sashimi in a creamy sauce which followed duck pate which by the way taste no better than a good quality Coles pate. We also had Scallops which were very overdone and therefore taste like rubber. It's disappointing as this was a restaurant I had been meaning to get back to for years and was looking forward to.More

Our favourite Brisbane restaurant for special occasions such as Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Always feel at home and the food is always delivered to the highest standard no matter the amount of people in the restaurant. Javier always makes children feel so...very welcome. Even has cooking classes during the school holidays.More

Thankyou to Havier and the team for a wonderful meal and experience. The grill was particularly delicious and our roast chicken had earthy charcoal flavors with deliciously roasted vegetables. Great restaurant to share dishes. It’s our second visit and didn’t disappoint.

Great restaurant for a special occasion or with family or friends. We enjoyed another wonderful night out. Whilst the prices have certainly risen (this was our 6th or 7th dining experience here over the last 5 years) the food is always high quality. I’d recommend...the Arancini , Croquettes and Duck Liver to start. For mains the Orange Roughy, Beef cheeks, Black Angus Sirloin and Quail were very good. Brussels sprouts and carrots as sides were good choices. Of course Churros to finish. Whilst the menu missed the usual Lamb Shoulder, Duck Breast and Spanish potatoes, it was still a 5/5 quality.More

Great food. Great wine if you have the Chardonnay. Enjoy the refreshing cherry juice if you’re the soba driver as I was. I had the vegan dish - vegetable casserole. Friends had the lamb. Hubby had barramundi and friends are returning this week to have...the same it was so good Staff are friendly and the whole restaurant is authentic Turkish. We ate outside. Food came quickly and was delicious.More

Excellent food and service. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious with almost no wait time. The chef took the time to introduce himself and step us through the various dishes. Highly recommend and will be definitely going back.

We had a few tapas plates as a starter, which were all outstanding. Served by a young man who identified himself as the chef's son. You should proud of him. He was a great combination of professional, friendly, relaxed and courteous. Excellent service. But as...it was a celebration dinner, my son and I went for the 1kg Fiorentina T-bone steak for two ordered medium/rare. Being a fan of good steak, I have often been disappointed by poor quality and or a good cut ruined by over cooking. But I can confidently say, that this was one of the best T-Bone steaks I have ever eaten in my 64 years on this planet. It was succulent, perfectly cooked and tasty. My compliments to the chef and the cow who sacrificed itself. A great atmosphere, evening and venue, Thank youMore

I have never been fond of tapas but Moda at the Barracks has helped to change my view. I had the vegetarian set tapa menu and my colleagues had the normal meat and fish. What a fantastic feast that was well presented and very tasty...and set in beautiful surroundings. Definitely a place to enjoy.More

This was our second time at Moda-first as a group and this time as a couple. Both experiences were terrific and the friendly and attentive staff enhance the absolutely delicious food. It’s fascinating to watch the activity behind the scenes in the kitchen too. You...can really appreciate what a well oiled machine they are. Recommend for a lovely lunch or dinnerMore

I’ve been a bit lazy with reviews through Covid, but I’ve just had the most amazing meal that made me realise I need to be more appreciative of the hard work the hospitality crowd are putting in. We’ve dined at Moda quite a few times...before, usually having the Tomahawk steak. Today, with the tomahawk unavailable, we went the T-bone for 2 with its usual side of baked vegetables and we added the Spanish potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. All I can say is that everything on the table sang - an amazing combination of flavours that melded perfectly and also stood, proudly and deliciously, on their own. Not sure what elevated this meal from lovely to superb, but keep it up, Moda. Just divine!More
