We ate here as a large group for lunch, service was woeful , expected with the pandemic to see staff proactive when customers arrive, to explain seating and ordering. They were not policing customers signing in, which was disappointing. However the food was amazing, great...selection of fish and great lunch specials. Just need to improve there customer service.More

Shocking service. No meet and greet. The fish was oily and just batter. So disappointing for a seafood restaurant. Couldn’t get any staff members attention even though it’s early and they not busy.

We shared a Fisherman's Platter and Seafood Chowder between us. The chowder was not what we were expecting (wrong mental image after a memorable serving on the pier at Monterey) and the seafood on the platter was plentiful and deep fried. Prices are reasonable and...service quick.More

Always a good time at Reef. Fresh seafood, generous portions and great value for money. Alex and the team are great at what they do and always strive for excellence in the customer experience space. Great food and excellent service.

Have been to Reef a few times and always found the food and service first rate. Last night it was different, not the food, because we didn’t get that far. What has always been a smooth process of getting a table was chaotic, stood waiting...Ignored by staff, with other people in the same situation, when we finally got someone’s attention we were told quite abruptly that there would be no tables for two available and that they were closing at 8pm (website says 8:30) this despite reserved tables for a group of six sitting empty. Whole experience was unsatisfactory, on the bright side had a lovely Italian meal at Portside, food and service was excellent try Gusto da Gianni!More

We went back to Reef and Sushi at the end of our trip after being invited for dinner there on the first day in Brisbane by a couple who have stayed in Brisbane for over 10years as this is their family regular to-go-to place to...eat. Free 2 hrs covered parking, casual atmosphere, order over the counter followed by quick arrival of food despite us being there first on a Sunday then on a Saturday evening when the place was filling up fast. Loved the grilled barramundi which was not overly cooked and flavoured just right. The special sauces were generous in portion as were the chips. My husband enjoyed the bento sushi box and found the miso soup filled with seafood too! we ordered exactly the same two dishes on our return visit and were met with the same friendly efficient service and good food. We were amazed at the size of the seafood platter we saw being served. Next time...! highly recommended for a good variety of fresh seafood- grilled or fried in beer batter and good variety of Japanese style options.More

I have lost the number of times we have been to the reef Restaurant. Food and service is always good though the table seating is basic.Price is competitive and a good wine list.

Food was good and service efficient but not an enjoyable lunch outing, Seating is out in the open and close to a constant flow of people traffic. Would prefer to be indoors in air conditioned premises and do not enjoy the company of dogs at...dining venues. Not a memorable experience and will not be rushing back,More

Five of us went to this restaurant in Brisbane last week on our first visit to Australia. My brother and my niece had already been there (they live here), so they knew what to order. First, I went to the bar and asked about wines....The person working there recommended an excellent wine from Western Australia that we all enjoyed. Our food arrived - and enormous seafood platter - and there was plenty of food on it for five adults. Fried fish, shrimp cooked several ways, fresh oysters, crab legs, French fries (chips), scallops, and a small seafood casserole. It was all good and prepared very well. The atmosphere was lively with almost all tables occupied, wait staff busy, and everyone seemed to be having a good time.More

Yes there is a nearby bathroom (approx 50-70 metres away) and yes they definitely have sake! Enjoy! This is a great restaurant, we have been a number of times.
