Popped in for a couple of takeaway coffees. Disappointed to see owner spreading COVID misinformation and suggesting that the pandemic isn’t a significant event. It is one thing to hold these misbeliefs as a personal opinion but it’s dangerous to try and spread it through...to customers of a business. Will not return.More

My wife and I have just returned from a pleasant drive in the Brisbane hinterland and a nice lunch at The Place 2B Cafe/Restaurant at Delaneys Creek; a short drive from Brisbane or Redcliffe. We were made welcome, enjoyed prompt professional service and tasty meals...in pleasant surroundings. From Delaneys Creek we ventured over the range to Dayboro and home from there. If you are looking for an enjoyable outing I would have no hesitation in recommending The Place 2B for lunch & good service in a quiet country setting.More

Out for a drive, enjoying some COVID-19 freedom, we called in for lunch. Ordered burgers & they were very large, delicious, freshly prepared. Most enjoyable. Service was a bit slow, but they had a sign up to explain that they were short staffed. I’d return...for sure! Good to be able to dine out & support a small business.More

We ate here for a second time before we left the Brisbane area. Again the food could not be faulted. I had chicken cooked in a Camembert and avocado sauce. It was fantastic. The owner was very helpful, but this time we found the girl...waiting on the tables a bit off hand. We watched another table being served their food, but no cutlery provided. The girl said to the diner ' you should have picked up your cutlery when you ordered', though she did go and collect it for the table. I think that perhaps a little more professionalism from the serving staff is needed.More

Visited this delightful restaurant for lunch today on the recommendation of family. A wonderful setting by a dam. The owners and serving staff were delightfully friendly, providing great service. Of the four of us in our party, two had homemade pie, the other two eggs...benedict. No complaints at all! The pies were full of meat, and very tasty. Both people said they were the best pies they had tasted in a long time! The eggs benedict, one with cheese, the other with salmon were wonderful, the eggs in both cooked to perfection. This place deserves to be a great success, and we hope to return before we continue our travels in a few weeks time. A hidden gem, slightly off the beaten track.More

Food and drinks took so long to come. When my daughter finally got her pancakes the girl set the plate down with no cutlery. She didn’t explain that she was going to come back and bring the cutlery. So I went inside to find some....Saw cutlery stacked on a counter so I grabbed some and a different lady barked at me “what are you looking for?!” And I said “cutlery” and she said “you will get the cutlery with your meals” and I explained that my daughter didn’t get any and her response was “put that back. We’ll bring it out”. She spoke to me like a child. It was very rude and no way to treat a customer. Then she dropped someone’s food on the ground because she was trying to carry too many things at once. It’s such a shame the service is terrible because it’s such a lovely venue.More

It was an overcast day on the mountains and we wandered in for lunch and were immediately impressed by the hospitality and warm welcome. The place is full of interesting things to look at and the back deck overlooks the lake resplendent with ducks. The...food menu was very comprehensive. Hubby and I went for the Indian food whcih was freshly prepared - a samosa and spring roll entree, a chicken curry, a beef curry, roti, naan, pappadam, rice and raiti - while the parents opted for a chicken parmi which was beaut (moist and large), open toasted chicken and avo sandwiches and a side of chips.Everything was presented well and was really fresh. The cake cabinet groaned with delights that our tummies were beyond eating (of course we managed to take some away). BYO wine was ok and we ordered coffees too. The prices were very reasonable. We hope to be back soon. Thanks to the hosts.More

Lovely setting overlooking the lake. Ducks and chickens running around, lots of things for kids to do. Choice of seating inside, out on the deck, or in the garden. Coffee is good (not artisan-level, but very acceptable), and service friendly. Food can take a while...on a Sunday morning, this place does get busy, but warning: the meals are BIG! I also take an elderly relative out here for morning tea. She loves it too.More

My sister and myself decided to do a round trip through Dayboro, Mt Mee and stop off here for lunch before driving home via Wamuran. Still a lovely ambiance to the place, overlooking the dam while sitting on the verandah. Less fowl around than I...remembered, but that might be a seasonal thing. I just wish I could say something positive about our lunch experience. I require gluten free and after a short discussion with the waitress, the owner behind the counter and his wife, the cook, we agreed on a GF Caesar Salad (which means they leave the croutons out usually). My sister ordered the Quiche. A lovely looking Caesar salad was eventually brought out, complete with croutons, so I checked with the same waitress if it was indeed GF. Her response was "I think it is" which just doesn't cut the mustard with a Coeliac. Gluten makes me sick as a dog for days. I asked the waitress to check for me. 15mins later she still hadn't returned so my sister went inside to check, came back and told me the salad was indeed NOT gluten free. Not that anyone came to tell me before I chowed down. My sister told them to swap her Quiche for the salad which she would then eat (not being Coeliac). We were both getting quite hungry. The waitress came out 5mins later to advise that the Quiche order had never been put in, the gent at the front counter being a bit hard of hearing had missed it. The waitress did have the sense to ask if I could eat the chips which were potentially tainted with gluten. I did eventually get some quite good Quiche to eat with a nice-ish salad (the salad mix had some not-so-fresh squishy bits in it). At one point they sent a child out to ask if everything was ok with our meals. Hmmmm. Not a good day at the cafe. I will eventually go back. I hope it's improved again as I really like this charming little cafe.More
