Enjoyed lunch here in pleasant surroundings, eating on the outside deck. The service was attentive and polite. Unfortunately the food was just ok with long waits between courses. The dessert (panna cotta) was particularly disappointing (hard and rubbery) so would recommend you choose something else.

We enjoyed our visit to ‘Farm to Fork’ for a busy Saturday lunch. The staff was attentive and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals and the flavors were spot on. The combinations worked well and would highly recommend this restaurant.

All the food and sides served were at their best. I love art, and each dish transmitted to me a story told between colors and flavors. Feeling of connection from the palate with a mixture of emotions and memories. Professionally, in combination with the museum visit, such amazing flavours. Truly unique fine dining experience. It was a special and wonderful time. I would eat there again and again… and will most likely return sooner than later!

This restaurant has been out go-to for gatherings with family and friends for several years since we first discovered it. We have a vegetarian and a lactose intolerant family member and we were always delighted with the options available -- until yesterday. The chef has changed, and so has the menu. The menu had fewer vegetarian options. The celeriac main was quite good but not exciting, while my partner approved of the watermelon entree. The desserts were disappointing, with the pineapple concoction actually unpleasant. The others were over sweet and didn't have the combination of crisp, tart, juicy and creamy, as we left, I heard my son say to his friend, whom he had encouraged to come along, "I wish you could have tried it before. It is a shadow of its former self.".

You need to experience this wonderful Brisbane restaurant be you a local or visitor. The food, the service, the casual atmosphere must be experienced and as an added attraction GOMA Restaurant comes wrapped in two vibrant art galleries. The food was totally different and reflected the flare and care of the chef and kitchen team - presentation was incredible. Make this restaurant top of your list.

Outstanding meal. Outstanding view. Outstanding service. You just viewed some thought provoking art with a friend. You know you want to swap thoughts. This is where you go to do it. The food is visually compelling enhanced by flatware that is a work of art in itself. Balcony tables have nice views and a natural breeze. Great for a date where you can get to know each other by comparing perspectives on the art, cuisine and the riverview. Maybe like me you have kids and you want to spend time with your partner to remember dating before kids. Also, check out the Friday movies or if your partner likes the exhibition, a coffee table book or souvenir from the gift shop makes a great surprise gift.

Thoughtful, deliberate and delicious. I stopped for a quick snack before a tour, I delayed the tour opting to stay for the food.

Exceptional menu, exquisitely presented. It is always a highlight of GOMA visits. This lunch, the sake washed Hokkaido scallop was an artwork in itself. Compliments to all of the restaurant team, you are The Best!

A culinairy adventure on a Sunday afternoon. My wife and I experienced a real treat in the GOMA restuarant with excellent service, quality food well represented and with flavour explosions from time to time. This was a memorable meal in our two year stay in Australia and for us the best lunch we had in Australia up to now. We will visit Sydney in a couple of weeks and have some retaurants booked already, but they will have a challenge to meet or beat the GOMA.

Although this restaurant does not offer an elegant or cosy dining space vibe, however, it’s more than compensated by the artistic flair and imagination of their tasteful and creative food presentations, wine offerings and amiable table service. Here’s a perfect way to spend a day in the cultural precinct of Southbank Brisbane. Cruise the art galleries, then sit back and enjoy the hospitality offered by the GOMA restaurant staff. Waiting staff actually brought the wine bottles to the table to allow verification, a nice touch for what seems to be a disappearing routine in so many restaurants. The menu is structured in a degustation style with small portions allowing patrons to graze across GOMA’s ample choices. My companion proclaimed the smoked eel as delicious and the fresh fish with mussels, smoked onion beurre blanc and saltbush was also very savoury. The cured pork scotch fillet with seeded English mustard was another welcome dish. Point to consider was the confit celeriac, caramelised Jerusalem artichoke with warm chestnut mousse. Although well presented, the meal was a bit of a let down as the mousse had more of a thickened gravy texture than would have been preferred. We finished off with a quick bite of the wagyu fat and aged treacle fudge which was a really flavoursome treat, and sweet note to end a pleasant and generally very tasteful culinary experience. GOMA restaurant is definitely worth more than just one visit. 7.8/10

Both as a couple alone and several times with friends, we made a treat of going both to the European Masters and the GOMA restaurant during July-October 2021. Every visit was a delight- attentive staff; apt ambience; and a cooking style as close as you can get in Brisbane to Peter Gilmore’s “Bennelong”. Intense explosions of flavour like we remember from I Bulli. We always took the degustation menu which meant that the potential problem of small portions if you ordered a large carte became irrelevant but yes, if you only ordered 1-2 courses a la carte, you’d come away hungry. The restaurant is a wonderful asset to GOMA which keeps us coming back.
