Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would not normally wander down a narrow alley to go for lunch, but curiosity got the better of me... and I wanted to eat somewhere memorable. And memorable it will be! There is a mural on the wall at the end of the alley...which may catch your attention... there is a chance you could walk past this and not know it was there. Not to worry... regardless of it's stealthy location it is VERY clear that people know it's here. It buzzes when you walk through their doors... find a seat?!? But don't let that put you off that it appears busy. You will find a seat, they offer an incredibly eclectic range of seating options. What I noted in my small time there is there is no demographic of people here... it covers all ages, people also sit solo quite comfortably, business meetings take place, romantic lunches or just friends catching up. It is explosively interesting if you are a people watcher. Service was exceptional here... they greet you, they serve you... not just professionally but comfortably. It's hard to explain but it's like going to a place you have always been going to. The menu has an incredible range of food covering most people off on one of their selection choices. I ordered a burger... it was cold and wet outside and that suited how I felt- Comfort food! The burger was tasty, the plate was full of fries with aioli on the side. Bottles of water were supplied for tables.More

Tucked away down an alleyway, Brew is a lovely escape from the nearby shops. Friendly, chilled staff with a nice vibe, we enjoyed a lovely brunch. The breakfast burger was cooked to perfection, as was the chicken schnitzel. Fresh apple and pineapple juice was a...welcome treat. Would definitely come again on any future visit. Great to support a local business that has stayed true to what its' good at.More

This is now our coffee and happy hour place of choice when in Brisbane city. We've had coffee here several times now and as coffee snobs we can say that the coffee is really good. This place just has a really good feel about it...and the young guys working there provide excellent service.More

Down an ally and completely underground, Brew requires a little bit of searching to find but the funky decor, friendly staff, and yummy eats are worth it. The water bottles (reused liquor) makes it look as if everyone is doing shots of vodka at noon...on a Sunday! Good options for vegans, gluten-free and carnetarians alike. Only complaint is that it is VERY slow. The place had empty tables when we sat down but nearly 40+ minutes from the time we ordered until our food arrived. Avoid if you are in a hurry.More

Decor is part St Vinnies and part Uni student group house. Clientele is everything from family groups to people doing assignments on laptops to serious people having serious meetings to grey haired ladies catching up with friends to random tourists on holiday like us. Menu...is pretty standard bistro/ club food but was tasty and lovely and if we hadn't already been to a bar before hand, I would have enjoyed sampling one of the delicious looking cocktails. It's a bit tucked away but the music is playing and the food and drinks are tasty and well priced and its a fun and funky place to relax and spend some time and feel like you can just quick back and enjoy. Very much recommended.More

Cool spot. Really comfy. Staff were really quick with bringing water to the table and explaining the menus etc. Had a big breakfast and it was great. Really big portion sizes. Would go back again.
