Excellent food and great service. All the team were very professional and attentive and ensured that our business lunch went smoothly from start to finish. I couldn't recommend Malt Dining more! Thanks! :-)

The restaurant itself is dim and cosy with the service impeccable however the food was a let down. The calamari was basic and not seasoned, corned was ummmm not what we expected with grilled blobs of cheese plus grated cheese, the beef tartare was the...worst I've ever had and tasted like a lemon and the quial had no seasoning or taste to it whatsoever. We didn't finish our meals, they weren't pleasent.More
We booked Malt dining for a work function. Our group was ~30pax and our function was in the upstairs dining room. The room was beautiful, perfect size for what we needed and lovely old-world character and in a great location. Telita (functions manager) was a...dream to deal with, she was very flexible and catered to the needs of our group. The food was tasty, and the chef even came out to speak to us about the food which was a nice touch. I received good feedback from my colleagues about the space, food and wine. We come to Brisbane a few times a year and need a venue for dinner, I would consider booking this for dinner again!More
My wife and I were at malt dining. Service was okay but the food was the very disappointing. Scollops were cold and pork belly was not rendered with a whole piece was fat. I outlined this to manager when he collected the plates and was...told he would tell the chef but no apology offered. Overall disappointing.More
On behalf of the QTEC team I'd like to thank you for your hospitality. We'd like the meals and the drinks but especially the service of your team, I'd like especially thank your young waitress whose name I unfortunately don't know but mainly she looked...after us. (She has Italian background) See you next time.More
Thank you so much for making our evening a success, and a truly enjoyable experience. We had a dinner for 45 people and the events team were very accommodating with our changes and they went all out for us on the night.
My 2nd time at Malt Restaurant - this time for a group function in their upstairs room - the room was large and the service was good, in fact they couldn't be more helpful. The group I was attending with spent thousands of dollars on...the event making it a special evening, and it didn't disappoint....until we moved down to the entry bar. A male, dark curly haired bar tender in his early 20's was so rude and obnoxious it was a sad ending to a lovely evening - hence the reason for the poor rating as this tarnishing what should have been a very different reviewMore
The customer service was amazing. Nice atmosphere in both Attic (restaurant) and the bar. The food was great. Highly recommend it.
This restaurant is situated in Wenley House, a heritage building in Brisbane and has maintained the character of the building. Even though we were early for our booking, we were greeted warmly and given a seat in the downstairs bar until the upstairs restaurant opened....A nice warm feeling in the bar, and the number of whiskies on offer would suit any whiskey lover. The menu and wine list were not extensive, but were sufficient. I guess with Covid reducing trade, an extensive menu would be hard to justify. Both mains we ordered were more than enough for our needs and were appreciated and enjoyed. The menu is different and a visit there is well worth the effort.More
Nicely renovated. The atmosphere was lovely for a date night or a few couple. It’s nice to have a drink downstairs before heading up to the restaurant. We enjoyed the entrees and the wine selection was great. My husband had the ocean trout and I...had the beef fillet. The entrees were the stand out. The beef was perfectly cook but a Lou too much going on with the jus and then a miso gravy. Too many flavors. We would come back but choose differently on the menu.More
We had dinner for two as a date night. The restaurant has a beautiful romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was all beautiful and well presented. The serving sizes were on the larger side for fine dining. We would happily recommend to friends...and family.More
OMG! This restaurant is sensational. Ambience is classically elegant with an edge. We ordered the degustation menu and it wowed us from the first dish! Second, third, fourth, fifth - all dishes are elegant with their flavor combinations and really you cannot fault anything about...this head chef - his team all help deliver a sensational and epic experience. I highly rate Malt Dining and I will be back. Wait staff were brilliant and on the ball. .Thank you for the experience.More
Didn't book for a Tuesday lunch. No need. Small space but well patronised. Very different menus and my choice was the blackboard special of 4 items for $39. Serious wine list but quite pricey. Service, OK. Bit annoyed that I was not informed that there...was a credit card surcharge. Overall, quite nice.More
Food is absolutely sensational........mind blowingly good, the service is outstanding, atmosphere is amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the dining experience at Malt Dining. Flavours are clever and well thought out and agreeable to all tastes. I can’t recommend this place enough +++++
We dined at Malt Saturday evening with a family group including an 11 year old. Such delicious and interesting food, beautifully presented. Enjoyed by all. Staff were friendly and service was polished. Beautiful restaurant.
