Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We live round the corner and are blessed to have had Taro close by for a number of years. The location has changed by a few 100 metres but the quality remains high. We love a fix of Tonkotsu Ramen every now and again. The...broth is full of flavour and I adore the soft boiled egg (always order extra). A great and consistent ‘go to’ in Brisbane city.More

Soooo good! Did a google search for “best ramen in Brisbane” and this place was the top hit. It did not disappoint. If you’re a big eater, the servings are on the smaller size so order some gyoza to go with it, equally as good!...Service was really good too.More

Taro's serve really excellent ramen, in delicious broth. It's a nice informal place to grab a bowl, very good value and with good service, although not the fastest. It can get very busy, so be prepared to queue.

The gyozas they talked up were a bit average, but the ramen was excellent, not overly expensive but very flavoursome and good range of choice and portions Will definatley be back

Their Raman soup is very taste, and strong flavour, however Raman size is a bit small, self order meal, no customer service.

Every Japanese person I know has recommended this place to me as having the only authentic ramen in Brisbane. Unsurprisingly, they were right! Everything we had was super yum, and in a relaxed inviting location.

Good atmosphere with a lot of noise at lunch time. Ramen was tasty in thick well cooked broth. The office building where the Taro’s are located has a beautiful interior, so it’s nice to sit in the lobby with a bowl where they have a...few tables and can observe the art decorations on the walls. They can do with reprinting the menu. Have 5% discount if you pay cash.More

I hesitated to put "best ramen in Brisbane" as I haven't tried all the others so it wouldn't be fair to them, but suffice it to say I'm a fan and connaisseur of ramen, have eaten it all over the world including Japan, and my...experience at Taro's is one of my most memorable. On this visit we shared takoyaki (octopus balls) and spicy cold tofu, both delicious. I ordered my favourite, the "high heat fire tonkotsu". You can customise your ramen bowl with extra noodles, nori seaweed, egg, char sir pork, sprouts, shallots, kimchi or chilli oil. I don't, because I think it's perfect as it comes! The decor is non-existent, typical hole-in-the-wall cheap food court cafe style with metal tables and chairs. That's not why we go there. The food is wonderful, and cheap to boot. I've always found the service friendly and efficient and cannot recommend the place enough (although I'd be upset if I couldn't get a table next time I went because of its new found popularity!)More

A colleague took us for ramen and was very impressed. I had the red fire tonkotsu and loved every bit of it. Beer on tap was a plus also

Came here for dinner with a group of friends. We ordered 2 bowl of ramen and karrage chicken and rice. Bought our own alcohol since it was a BYO but had to pay $4. Food was lovely, very filling and worth the money. Service however...could not say the same. I ordered hotwater but that never came and told the staff that we had our own drinks and it took a long time for them to bring 2 glasses, just before out meals arrived. When it was time to pay, the staff told us that the BYO was per person even if one of us weren't drinking and told us that it was the rule. There was no written rule that states this since out of all the BYO, you never had to pay for a BYO which makes no sense since they only provided glasses. They should revise this rule.More

Homemade noodles that are just perfect. The broth is always refreshing unless you order the fire tonkatsu which is the right amount is heat. Try their delicious monthly specials for a flavour explosion!

Had lovely gyoza and ramen here, but so unfortunate that the owner is so stingy to have only 2 or 3 waiting staff on duty for a Friday night! Those staff were so busy that there was almost fire under their feet! So I made...sure to leave a tip for these poor guys and girls, but unfortunately it did mean that service was slow and we watched our food going cold on the bench waiting to be brought out to us. Eventually the cook came out of the kitchen and started delivering food to the tables. Great food - but note to the boss. Open up your wallet and hire an extra waiter or waitress.More

Looking for cheap and cheerful, we found this place at the top of the escalator -it’s not obvious from the street. Nice ramen, reasonably priced, good pre-dinner snacks, perfect cheap and cheerful Asian place.
