Views are lovely, however we waited over 35 minutes and had to ask about our meals. They brought out 3 of the 4 meals and we had to ask again for the other meal, which we were told they were making. When it came out,...there was no apology. The chips were overly salted and the toasted chicken sandwich (which took 45 mins) was bland. Recommend taking a picnic and enjoying the view from the lookout.More

We hung around here to get an early morning coffee. Wished we hadn’t wasted our time. The coffee was awful and the service was dreadful. I don’t mind getting good coffee with bad service, or good service with bad coffee. But please don’t give me...both bad!More

Thought we would have breakfast and a good coffee at The Summit Cafe as we have been here several times before without problems. Ordered 2 bacon and eggs and 2 large flat white coffees. The meals are expensive for what you get but I guess...you pay for the view. The coffees were absolutely disgusting. The coffee was boiled that the beans were burnt and bitter. One sip and that was that. Also they arrived in takeaway containers. Thought it was due to Covid but other tables had their coffee in ceramic mugs. They seriously need to teach their Baristas how to make coffee. Very disappointing.More

The staff were rude, agressive and unhelpful. As it was clear things were not going to improve we left. We had been regulars here but will not be back

Lasagne and the chips were dry and certainly unappetising - coffee (flat white) was weak and cold on both occasions !! Place is long overdue for a complete revamp and not rely entirely on using the view as a drawcard Service area is cramped, unsafe...and the product displays are a confusing mess.More

This is the iconic Lookout to Brisbane city. Not a long drive from the CBD. On a clear day the views from here are great. Took time for a coffee. The cafe was steady on a weekday winter afternoon but we did not have a...long wait. Staff were friendly and obliging. Nice coffee.More

Great selection of food, especially love the lasagne, the lamb pita is delish if there's enough sauce, and the desserts are so great, especially the apple crumble (I'm not normally keen on Apple), and almond croissant delish toasted. Food comes quickly, even if it doesn't...it's a nice time enjoy the views. My daughter loves eating here too, so great for families as well as couples and friends. Wasn't too keen on the cafe a couple years ago but I'm happy to see some improvement.More

The table service here is just a complete mess. Waiters (not their fault - blame it on the owner) have to come out from the kitchen with a hands full of food or drinks and wander around all the tables to find which customer the...order was for. YES, the customers are given an order number to put on their table but we could see time after time that they were coming out and not finding the correct customer Much simpler to number the tables or set up a buzzer system etc. Talked to a couple of the waiters who were doing the absolute best they could ( we were even helping them spot customers who were waving to them, thinking that it was their food doing laps of the terraces) and they were very frustrated with the system. Management, wake up - its a mess! Coffee was very very ordinary. Would never buy one there again.More

Giday. I've been to the cafe many times over the years and been very happy with both the service and food. However my last visit last Thursday evening was a pure disaster. We ordered fish n chips plus a coffee quite a simple dish to...I prepare. The food when brought to the table was like warm and very oily with little fish pieces inside the batter. The chips hard n cold. The coffee also cold. I could not understand how this could really happen as we were 2 of four in the cafe. I left most of the food as it looked unappetizing and was right with the little I had it proved me correct with a light bout of food poinsening with a couple of hours that lasted a day. The staff or at least the receptionist although not rude did not show much of an interest in being either polite or helpful and was more interested in gaining the info under the new covid legislation which we complied with.. We also contacted the new owners Jimmy's on the mall and asked if this was going to be the normal service up there now. The View still fantastic.. We have now changed our venue to Mt Gravatt.. Beachmont and Mt Glorious.. these venues give both value for money and a better service.. Regards Clint..More

Terrible service, grumpy lazy and unhygienic staff and procedures, no ice cream left , sent to buy ice cream inside but then people in line behind us were directed back outside to get ice cream, melted ice cream and dripping sanitiser dripping off ice cream...scoop onto top of other ice creams. Lived in brissie all my life and been here several times, this is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Sadly!!More

Go to a park for gods sake or stay home. No one wants to eat at a cafe around filthy dogs.
