Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years. It’s a must do when ever I am in Brisbane. And it has always had the best Vietnamese. Make yourself fun rolls and the salt and pepper quail are my favourites. The staff are friendly and helpful and just go with what they recommend cannot go wrong. Prices are reasonable and it’s byo but they have soft drinks

Quite a traditional feel. Old interior but absolutely amazing food. My first Vietnamese meal and it certainly won’t be my last. The staff can’t do enough to help and the food has the most amazing flavours.

This place is close to where I live, therefore it serves as a place for regular take-a-way. I used to have lunch here once a week in the past, and always had a combination rice vermicelli salad, which comprises rice vermicelli, grilled pork pieces seasoned with lemon grass, a springroll and sugarcane prawn, and with plenty of grated carrots and cucumber and mints. This salad come with fish sauce dressing (nuoc nam). For take away, I normally get fried rice, sweet & sour pork, deep fried prawns in shell, deep fried flounder and also Sze-Chuan style stir fried French beans. The last but not least is my all time favorite, ie.Vietnamese Combination Broken Rice. With so many dishes to choose from I would like to recommend this place for dining in or take-away.

This Restaurant has been opened for many years they say its one of Brisbane oldest Vietnamese Restaurants. We had dinner with fellow family members. The Food tasted good but have had better Vietnamese food the cost of meals was the best part. Worth trying.

I have been here many times with my family but thought I would take a colleague from work, who typically prefers the high end of town to eat! They made comments on the way in which were very different to the comments on the way out, needless to say they were very surprised to find such a good eatery in Darra. Great value for money and friendly service.

Unimpressive from the outside and the decor is interesting, BUT, the food is FANTASTIC The staff are lovely and all dishes are authentic and scrumptious. I have dined there two or three times with friends and family. It is always worth the visit. The menu is varied and the price very reasonable. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Terrific entrees, waitress changed standard entree size of 3 or 4 pieces to 6 to make it easy for us to share. Mains were authentic and delicious as usual, we have been coming here for about 15 years so it was about time I wrote a review.

Over the last two days I have dropped in for lunch and dinner. Even during mid week this restaurant is popular. The food was great both times. I am an Aussie who has lived the last 12 years in Vietnam, so I know Vietnamese food and restaurants. Kim Khanh is just like eating in Vietnam! However, the service is better and faster. The spotless restaurant is sooo much cleaner than restaurants in Vietnam. It was obvious that the majority of customers I saw were very happy regulars. When I revisit Australia I will make it a point to eat often at Kim Khanh.

Wonderful evening out, large portions, prompt friendly service, clean restaurant, only thing it can be very noisy, need some furnishing to soften the noise, otherwise score would have been 5/5, if I could would have given 4 1/2. Highly recommended. Will be back to this hidden gem in the burbs.

The male waiter I think the hubby just didnt get things right. Go with a Vietnamese speaking friend. We got the wrong dishes. A couple werent good. You have to pay extra for RICE. But at TAN THANH INALA its included. The drink was a disaster....lemon or such I complained that it was just water with ice and only half full....please crush the ice...but it came back the same. They dont make fruit smoothies like other Vietnamese restaurants. $4.00 glass of water virtually. The dessert was a flop. They didnt have banana or something else. One dish was ok just vegies and noodles with chicken. But you cant ask for specific flavours ie: ginger lemongrass garlic or chilli. Its too much trouble for them. Try Que Huong just up the road from the Darra railway station around the corner. Its 10/10

Went there on the recommendation our Australian cousins and their recommendation proofed to correct . We had a wonderful Vietnamese meal served by friendly attentive staff . Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. We have eaten at several Vietnamese restaurants but this one beats them by a country mile . Like my Australian cousins I can now recommend this restaurant.

We had take away, the staff were friendly. My main disappoint came from the quality of food, Most things are covered in oil. I don't think I will be back as there are cheaper and better Chinese restaurants around.
