About
As part of Brisbane Marriott’s multi-million dollar refurbishment project, Motion Dining is a new city destination restaurant in Uptown Precinct, The City. The restaurant features multiple dining locations including: luxurious booths, Chef’s Grill Table, high set tables in the stylish M Bar, a street side coffee bar and the soon to be opened M Deck with alfresco dining and river views. Head Chef Peter Iwanczyk has crafted a menu that centres around The Grill, focusing on regional produce. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will is home of Brisbane Marriott’s renowned Seafood Buffet, Sunday Brunch and High Tea.

We stayed at the Marriot Hotel in Brisbane and one night we decided to have dinner at Motion Dining after looking at the menu and reading the reviews.
We were told to make a reservation as it was a Saturday night.
When we arrived at 7pm, we were given a table near the open kitchen. We asked for a table a little further away from the open kitchen which was noisy. No problem. There were a couple of empty tables and we were seated at another table.
We ordered the food and the service during the whole time was friendly and attentive. We both had a steak and I must say it was one of the better pieces of meat I had for a long time. And the French fries were very good. We shared a dessert, the apple tart which was very delicious too.
All in all a very good experience and i would definitely go back there again.
One comment I would like to make and I know nothing can be done about it. But I would like the place to be a little more intimate for dinner. The high ceiling and the bright lights didn't give us this atmosphere. Maybe dim the lights a little?

We (two couples) went to Motion Dining for the 5pm sitting for Valentines Day Seafood Buffet. All of us found the buffet and service excellent. There was a wide variety of fresh seafood--oysters, bugs, prawns, oysters Kilpatrick, seafood salads, seafood chowder, smoked salman, and the food was plentiful. There were many hot dishes as well for non-seafood tastes. The desserts were too many to try all but our ice cream connoisseur tried all 5 flavers of gelato and ice cream and was suitably impressed. The service was prompt and friendly from everyone from the time we walked in and had a drink at the bar until we left 2 hours later, well sated. We all enjoyed this very special experience and will be back.

Our group of 4 enjoyed our dinner meals here. Service was attentive though one of the the orders was mucked up when an incorrect meal selection was served. The quality of the produce served was pleasing. Prices though are at the higher CBD range.
Food presentation was very good.
The venue was half full on a Saturday night which actually meant a more pleasant extended meal without the often too noisy ambience of some other venues.
We would recommend a return visit.

Such a disappointment. We were a large group which pre-ordered a buffet lunch before Xmas. The food was so ordinary it was ridiculous. The "caesar salad" was lettuce with a bottle of oversweet vinaigrette dressing beside it, no egg or bacon or anchovies or caesar dressing. Meat portions were tiny. The desserts were bite size and forgettable. My advice, don't bother.

We’ve been staying at the Brisbane Marriott hotel for a few weeks and have eaten both at the hotel and outside. Motion Dining matches many great places to dine in Brisbane, the menu, quality of food and the service are all very good and at a fair price. Try it.

We went there for buffet breakfast this morning, the food was great and the service was amazing. Ranbir was greeting us and arranging a nice table, Ly at the bar also offered us a yummy milkshake. Santosh, Christine, Danielle, Susan and Anna were always checking, cleaning table and making sure we were happy with everything. They were all so nice and sweet!
Furthermore, the Concierge Team was very helpful and friendly (Johnny, Johnathan and the other two)
Overall, it was a very friendly, attentive and professional service. They make us feel very welcomed and they take of us so well

Had the pleasure of dining at Motion Dining for Valentines Evening. Had the seafood buffet. Food was lovely & fresh. Tasty prawns, however the bugs did not have any flavour. Staff were very attentive & friendly. Atmosphere was lovely for Valentines. Tables were decorated & they even provided heart shaped chocolates. Happy to dine here again.

Dinner was 3 course, but very much a disappointment. It was supposed to be a nice romantic outing and although not cheap I had the steak and it was of lesser grade quality meat than the $24 steak you'd have at your local Club (it was less quality actually).
Then the staff continued to bring up the Groupon voucher (it wasn't a cheap one), but very distasteful they mentioned it at least 10 times throughout the event. No discretion, no tact and lack of training and customer service.
This would explain why the atmosphere was flat with the restaurant being totally empty except for us.

Breakfast buffet was very ordinary. Hot food was cold. Eggs unpalatable; looking around it seems everyone left the scrambled eggs on their plates. Very cramped space for the number of people in the dining room. Not a positive experience.

Motion Dining is a restaurant with a bar attached inside the Marriott Brisbane. We're normally a little [put off by an attached bar, but when we looked more closely we found that we were able to be seated away from the bar and associated noise, and ended up very much enjoying the evening. The food and service were both great, and I'd recommend this venue to anyone looking for a mid-range dining experience.

We dined at this restaurant within the Marriott Hotel Brisbane although we were not a house guest.
The whole experience from arrival to paying the Bill was brilliant.
We were visiting from Perth celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and were looking for somewhere with at least a little class and this was IT.
The staff were well versed in the menu and kind and attentive. Pri, Diane and Rachel went above expectations to ensure we had a great night.
The food was well presented, excellent in taste and good value for money. The wine selection was broad and also well costed.
Special thanks to Rachel who oversaw our experience and was a great ambassador for the restaurant and Hotel

We had heard that this restaurant was good and we were very surprised at how delicious the food was. We had the duck and the flavour combinations were very good, something you just don’t get every day. Well done to Michael, Ben and Crystal, we had a lovely evening. Thank you

Our family enjoyed a beautiful morning at Motion Dining celebrating my daughters 24th birthday. The staff were so attentive and so helpful. They even bought out a gorgeous selection of cakes to celebrate the birthday girl. We all had a wonderful experience. There was a large variety of foods available in the buffet with chef's on hand to cook on request. Would recommend without a doubt and will be returning for more of this lovely experience.

As usual, the service provided by the staff - especially LIa our waitress, was top class - friendly and professional. It was also a quality touch that the Head Chef checked in with us and also brought our main meal. We always have a wonderful culinary experience when we have a meal at Motion Dining and already look forward to our next visit.
