Rocked up Saturday night to the sounds of African drums by a live band out the back, great way to get into the mood for some tasty treats. Well we watched the waitress walk around as if in a daze, completely ignoring tables until called over, took us 20 min to get her attention, we ordered drinks and she completely forgot about them till we asked where they were 15 min later, but I have to say she is very friendly and you cant really get too upset with her (maybe thats her ploy????) We ordered the mixed Enjira with dips, very tasty but a bit skimpy with the bread, had to order extra, also ordered the Tamia balls, when delivered they were about the size of a 20 cent piece and no where near the size of the photo, though incredibly tasty, you would need about 12 pices per person to feel satisfied, we did mention this to the waitress and to our surprise it was not on the bill, cudo's to them. We ordered the mixed plater for two as you can get 3 dishes which works out so much cheaper than single dish ordering, we ordered the Asmeria (lamb curry dish) the Qulwa (lamb) and the Derho Zighni (chicken), these were so tasty and rich in flavour that we forgot about the service and the slightly dated decor, my oath it was good. Go find out for yourself, prices are a tad high, but not by much, the food is devine...... Yes I would go back.

I love this restaurant. If you are looking for somewhere with great food, BYO or that has vegan options (not just as an afterthought) you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the share platter. It is important to remember that this restaurant is a non-profit initiative to help African woman get job skills and sometimes the service can be a little clunky but always friendly, just go with it and have a great time.

We went as a group of 4 on a Wednesday evening so it was pretty quiet. We shared 4 dishes and they were absolutely delicious with good serving sizes. The only problem was the service. The staff member only delivered enough plates and utensils for 3 even though there were 4 of us. I had to knock on the kitchen door a couple of times when they forgot to bring things to out table. But despite this, we would give it another try.

We seek our Eritrean/Ethiopian food when we travel. Mu'ooz has a great mission: to help refugees and immigrants. That completely makes up for the very slow service. They even tell you to expect it. That's fine. But seeing the cook licking her hand was not on. Not just once, but when we arrived and again when we left. No hand washing, just kept cooking. Unclean, unsafe. If you must taste, pease use a spoon, and then put in with the dirty dishes. If you spill some sauce, wash it off, don't lick it off your hands and then keep ladling and preparing food. It's obvious this is usual behaviour, but its a health hazard. Also, please stock hand soap in the toilet. What you have, on multiple visits, is more water than liquid soap.

Wonderful food and great service, what more can you ask?! We had the sambusas with mince and then a sharing plate so that we could try a few curries. Lamb, goat and chicken with coconut curries were all very tasty, with the injeera and dips, absolutely fantastic. We tried 2 desserts as well ...the African donuts and the semolina cake, both delicious. Price was very reasonable. Altogether an experience that we will be happy to repeat any time !!

Food was tasty - served more like entre plates, rather than mains, and with no added garnishing nor extras (e.g. salad, etc) The owner was friendly, but tried to balance various other tasks while serving us at the same time - became a bit distracted and didn't quite get our order right

You will smell it from the street! An unhurried, lovely Eritrean glided between tables in this humble fit out with mural covered walls. The food is exactly what you'd expect - goat and lentil based stews all served on "Enjera" (sourdough-tasting pancake) - you can overlook the side salads with Italian dressing from a bottle. BYO was happily accommodated. Totally legit and recommended. And you can feel good about it - they provide work experience and training to refugee women.

A little gem of a place tucked away in West End . Was taken there on my last visit to Brisbane. Certainly a new experience in dining for me. Loved the way it was setup with indoor dining as well as outdoor under cover. We shared our meals so it was great to taste so many different dishes.. Be warned! There is no cutlery! However don't be pout off from dining here. Meals are designed to eat with your hands, but in a good way and with little or no mess. Meal choices were great and well priced. Happy to go back when I am back in Brissie on my next visit. It would certainly be a repeat place to go if I lived over there.

Small Eritrean restaurant at West End in Brisbane. The food was very tasty and the restaurant clean with friendly staff. We had bought a Groupon voucher for two which proved good value with a set starters share plate and a three choice share plate from the main menu including a glass of house wine. $29.00 for two (May 2019). We had the Enjera & Dips as the set starter and followed up with a share plate of the Special Asmera Dish, Founders Special and Kantisha. On the day we went for lunch the service was slow due to some problems the restaurant experienced earlier that morning (lost keys). This made it a long lunch but still a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely go back.

We visited as a couple for a nice authentic lunch. The meals are delicious. It's so great to find a restaurant with authentic food that hasn't been modified to cater for our Australian palates (e.g. having pasta etc on the menu). This restaurant is also where refugee women learn skills and work experience when first arriving in Australia - giving back to our community.

It was our first time at this restaurant and first time trying north East African cuisine. We had made a reservation, but it was not very busy although a Friday evening. Started with spring rolls, which were excellent, full of flavour. Mains were a curry and a vegetable dish, served with enjera, which is a sourdough flatbread. The curry was very nice, good flavours and the meat was tender. The vegetable dish was pleasant, but we felt lacked something, maybe a little bland. Also serving sizes were a little on the small side. For desert we tried the African donuts, which we loved. Service was friendly and efficient, and overall a very good meal, with the entree and desert being the standouts.
