Have often driven by this restaurant and planned a visit- so booked our end of year book club dinner. What a great idea that turned out to be.
Started off with ‘princess garden’ cocktail, one of the speciality drinks- then a look through the extensive wine list to pick a few bottles of French White wine to share.
There was a recommendation from the waitress to pick a tasting menu they have for groups, but we decided not to do that. Instead we shared some entrees (duck was the stand out ) and chose our own mains. All loved our choices, my lamb dish has to rate as one of the best I’ve ever had- and I love lamb! Super tender and flavoursome. Enjoyed the beetroot side dish also. Desserts were also excellent.
The service was friendly but a little slow, that’s why I only give 4 , but we all said we would definitely go again this time with our families.

We went with friends and were very impressed. Although initially a little disappointed that the online menu in no way resembled what we were given in the restaurant we were not disappointed. Modern French inspired cuisine. We ordered a share platter for four and then two of us had duck and the other two shared the pressed lamb. My husband is a very fussy we eater and I was holding my breath as he decided to have the lamb! It was fabulous. Duck was also excellent. All in all an excellent meal. Service was a bit slow at the beginning, however once they were in the flow it was great and they were happy to discuss the menu in detail.

My partner and I went to C'est bon to celebrate my birthday and we had an awesome time and food experience. We started with oysters and the sweetcorn brulee, which was my favourite thing from there: creamy, with delicious shrimps and the perfect combination of sweet/salty food. The mains were the gnocci (the pasta is very light and falls apart on your mouth and the flank steak and gratin potato! All delicious! And finally, les flotants for dessert which was very soft and delicious! So yummy! Our waitress was Emma, who was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us out with her suggestions. Merci beaucoup, Emma and everyone who cooked this delicious dinner for us

A major disappointment. Wine prices through the roof, food portions entree size, and you have to order sides as an (expensive) extra. A note of caution, if you order the carrot side dish, it comes cold. About one carrot for $14. There were four of us. We won’t be back.

I am sad to say that this was such a disappointing experience. I had high hopes but felt let down by the whole experience. We had to wait almost an hour for our food, which in the end was nice/adequate. It was the simple things that were absent that contribute to a lovely experience - the service was ordinary, no serving utensils with the food so we had to find a waiter and ask for them, plates of food were pushed across the table to diners instead of being placed, waiters reaching in front of diners to grab plates that were stacked noisily in front of us on the table - There was just no sense of a nice dining experience beyond the décor and lighting, which admittedly is very pleasant. Prices and portions are probably what you would expect in a French restaurant but I cannot say I would return or recommend. The dining experience that you anticipate is simply not what is delivered.

This was to be a special occasion to celebrate my 75 th birthday I had been there when the previous owner operated it.and it was great We walked in and were shown to our table and all we received was a wine list .25 minutes later I had to call a wait staff for a menu, The ambience was poor and the noise from other diners was unbelievable. The large plates were bread and butter sized plates and the small plates were the size of saucers The corn brulee entree was like baby food and you were provided with the smallest of teaspoons to eat it The steak Tartare was supposed to be wagu but it looked like mince cubes It was like some sort of particles in gravy The main was Chateau Briand at an exorbitant cost It was like a deconstructed version There were basically no vegetables and it was only served with condiments. We ordered beetroot @$14 it was the size of twenty cent piece We also ordered sour dough bread It was 3 small pieces of waffle that came out with the main course A total of 3 mouth fulls The night was a total disaster

Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing. The best part was the wine, which was superb, but was very overpriced. Next best were the "amuse bouche" or snacks, which were very tasty but tiny and overpriced. My gnocchi for entree was quite nice and light but the veloute was not "velvety" and just seemed like a tomato sauce. The duck for main was bland and not a pink peppercorn in sight. I've had many a cassoulet and this one was not one of the best; a bit thin and not rich like it should be with duck fat. The dessert was the most disappointing. I had the tarte tartin but there was no tart to be seen, just a few crumbs on the plate and a small pile of sour apple. I would have been embarrassed to serve this. My dinner guests had similar thoughts about their meals. It is a shame because the restaurant used to be very good and actually served authentic "bon cuisine". We will not be returning.

Extremely disappointing. The entrees were delicious but the mains were minuscule in portions. The Carrot Terrine was not a terrine and not a main dish at all but rather a side dish of roasted carrots for $26 ?? The trout was not available and so we had grouper. It was also tiny and over priced. No sides were provided so we ordered beetroot tarte tatin which was tough and tasteless. Will not be back. Huge disappointment.

The venue had a great atmosphere, but the food was awful. I had the Lagoustine for entree, and it was a kind of sticky mousse arrangement, with absolutely zero flavour. For the main course my wife had the pork, which was dry and stringy to the point of being inedible. I chose the bouillabaisse. Rather than a hot, hearty seafood-tomatoey soup, out came a soup bowl with some boiled mackerel, a couple of mussels, and some other unidentifiable bits, into which the waiter poured from what looked like a coffee pot a pale room temperature salty broth of indeterminate flavour. The waitress (who was from Marseille, the home of bouillabaisse) was clearly embarrassed. The cook explained it was a “summer bouillabaisse”. It was dreadful. To top it off, the wine list had precious few Oz wines, none of which we were familiar with, all we’re expensive. Never again.

I will start by saying the food we had was very tasty. The rest left a lot to be desired.
Firstly we were taken to out table and then ober the coirse of the next 15 minutes recived very slowly some water. Then a drinks menu. Then some cutlery. And finally food menus. Menuea should bebgiven when you are seated.
Then, we ordered a selection of snacks and a large plate to share. The snacks came out at different times with the time between dish 1 and the final snack dish about 30 minutes. Considering the small size of the snacks it would be better to get them closer together. We then waited over 30 minutes for a bowl of gnocchi. After being told it was a few moments away we still waited more than 5 minutes from that point.
Even worse was when we found a bone in our rabbit terrine. Not a huge problem in itself but the response from the staff was appalling. The first waitress told us she couldn't believe it was possible. Wow. The second gave us a half hearted sorry.
With some better responses to our concerns about the bone and wait times and we might have gone back. Not now.

The following happened a few months ago.We had made a booking and arrived a few minutes before 6 pm. When we wanted to enter the restaurant we were told in no uncertain matter that it wasn't open until 6 pm and needed to go to the bar and have a drink. We did that and then went into the restaurant which by then was a few minutes past six.
The meal was not as great and memorable as when we went to C'est Bon prior to the renovations however the dinner cost was.
When we asked for some more bread it was served promptly however when we payed they charged us extra for that. This is unacceptable as in France where i lived for a few years I have never been asked to pay for bread . C'est Bon makes a big do about being a french restaurant so do as the french please. I did sent an email to their email address as requested to complain but until today have never heard back. Poor customer relations and therefore will not return and have told my friends and family of this experience so thay can make up their own mind

Honestly don’t bother! We were one of 2 tables in the restaurant. Service was nonchalant at best. Had to ask numerous times for our wine to be topped up. Food was TINY serves, the restaurant was stifling hot no air conditioning. So disappointing after driving past for many years and choosing to celebrate a special occasion here

C'est Bon lacks all the ingredients of a good French restaurant; no le plaisir here. No atmosphere or engagement or that great joy you find in any good French restaurant either here or in France. Our meal was average and the drink selection poor and expensive
We were greeted as we entered the bar by a very abrupt "have you filled out the COVID forms?" That set the scene for the evening. On booking, I mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and, although our waiter acknowledged this on our arrival, there was no further recognition from the two staff. The service was desultory with none of that pleasant banter of the old C'est Bon.
It was always a joy to dine here under the previous owners; a very French experience. Now for us, our night was drab and soulless; nothing authentic.
Au Revoir C'est Bon, we shed a tear for the old, never to return to the joyless new.

Having booked this restaurant and complied with their booking conditions, which you were reminded of during the booking process (the salient one being that if you were 15minutes late, your booking would lapse) we were looking forward to an enjoyable night. We arrived early and enjoyed a drink in the bar and were served by a pleasant and efficient young barman. Things changed however when we entered the restaurant. There were no tables available. Nobody seemed to know what was going on and couldn't tell us how long we had to wait. We finally spoke the the maitre d', who gave us the usual recitation of "we're very busy" then said he had clients that came late and we would be seated when they left. So much for their booking conditions!! Still no idea of when we could be seated. When pressed further the maitre d' still could not tell us how long we would have to wait( we had waited for more than 10 minutes at this point), he became rude at which point we walked out. We cannot comment any further on this restuarant except to say that we would not reccomend it to anyone. Rudeness should not be part of anyone's business.

Visited here few weeks back and it was excellent. We could not fault anything. I contacted the restaurant few days before arranging a cake to be made for my girlfriend birthday and it was delicious. We had a few drinks on the terrace and then had a lovely meal. Great value for money and very tasty food. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely visit here again and for sure recommend.
