Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Service was very slow Nicely presented venue and menu. Poor service. No order or interest taken when we arrived. Drinks order not completed correctly. Waited over an hour for food.

Brunch at The Hamptons was glorious. I had the Jaffle and being the difficult eater that I am they accommodated my request for bacon and egg on the side (thank you!). The food was insanely good quality in generous portions. The staff were lovely and...attentive, chai latte was great and not too sweet. Decor was gorgeous and plenty of parking in the surrounding streets. Highly recommended.More

Very nice place to have lunch, cool inside when it's a hot day, nice outdoor seating on cooler days. The menu has a modern look, but even for us oldies there was plenty to choose from. It was nice and tasty, prices around $ 20...per dish (per person).More

Very friendly, helpful staff. Wasn't sure on how to make the coffee I ordered so came and asked me for instructions. When we were leaving they asked after the coffee - "was it ok"?. And commented that they would remember it for next time. Nice!!...Didn't know that the area out the back was for pet owners- wouldn't have sat there if we had known. Inconsiderate pet owners let their dogs wander or have fights with other dogs. Rather spoilt the atmosphere having to listen to their barking. Will return but will sit inside away from the animals.More

Decided to take our dog with us to breakfast. This quaint cafe has an outside dog-friendly area with 4 spread out tables. Service was excellent - staff introduced themselves and chatted - we were never left for long. Inside the cafe was quite busy and...they do take-away coffees as well. Food came out quite quickly - coffees took a little longer but still reasonable time and staff apologised for the wait. Good servings and very tasty dishes. Will definitely be going back for lunch. I would recommend booking to reserve your table.More

We have made several visits since this place has opened for breakfast. It has a menu with plenty to choose from with the added selections or build your own. Some dishes have an Asian tilt for something a little different like their Japanese Bun which...is not too sweet, just right. We added an extra egg to our breakfast in a bun, delicious. When cafe is full it can be very noisy, so go before 9am to beat the Sunday morning rush. Coffee is not bad but a little watery for our liking. Staff were helpful and efficient. Will return.More

Have been three times to The Hamptons. Everytime something interesting to try. I love the Wagyu Burger. More than a meal, super tasty and didn't need dinner after having it for lunch. Great ambience, attentive staff.

Looks very promising - multiple dining spaces including outdoors. Thoughtful decor. Service was friendly and coffee was good. Menu was interesting but on the whole there was a lot of flummery - ingredients that did not really add anything. Homemade cakes we patchy. It was...enjoyable but I would not go back, particularly as we are not in or close to the area.More

First visit for brunch with group of family/friends. Kids enjoyed the garden and table arrangement was nice although backless benches not ideal for older patrons. Food was pretty good expect that “pancakes” were actually stacked muffins. A more accurate description on the menu would have...been good. Will consider menu more carefully and ask more questions if there is a next time.More

Our first visit to this restaurant set in the leafy suburb of Hendra. An older building converted into this comfortable restaurant and offering a good selection from the menu. We had morning tea with freshly baked scones hot from the oven with raspberry jam and...cream. On entering the cake cabinet is a real temptation! Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Seating is comfortable, restaurant is bright and airy and judging by the steady flow of patrons, is gaining in popularity. Worth a visit!More

Came for breakfast. Loved this place when it was The Tuckshop so I was hoping The Hamptons would be just as good. I was not disappointed. I cant wait to go back. I had the big breakkie with broccolini (broccolini! weird but good) and Dad...had the pancakes which also were weird but so yummy. I'll order them next time i go back. Service was faultless and attentive by a young tall blonde girl. The Hamptons another success for the burbs.More

We wanted to try The Hamptons as it was something new for us. The place was pretty busy for sit down meals as well as take-away coffees. For drinks we opted for an interesting 'dirty chai', coffees and refreshing cold pressed juices (a royal flush...and a greenlees). For mains hubby ordered a simple poaches eggs dish and it came out as just that. I went for the avo ribbons, a couple of dots of balsamic, and beetroot hummus with the addition of a lamb sausage. Our friend had panko crusted mushrooms with field mushrooms and toasted cashews. The meals were alright, but we all couldn't cut through our sourdough bread with the knives provided. As with so many other places to eat, the noise levels were really high and precluded conversation for some of the time. Our young waitress didn't know whether she was coming or going which meant a couple of repeat requests for our orders. There is on-street parking and an outdoor seating area. We also spied a cake cabinet on the way out which looked yummo.More

Having dined in sister restaurant chapter 1V the new hamptons in Hendra was the choice on this February morning .Great location in a leafy part of Hendra the place is a picture perfect old shop that we find suits the cafe scene .Took a while...to get accomodated at reception (seemed a little short on staff) we were seated in a vibrant and spotless restaurant .We are not fans of this coffee brand so we ordered juice and one of the coconut drinks delightful.I am a devoted fan of matcha fare that I first encountered in Asia so I ordered the fluffy pancakes.Would of liked them a bit stronger but they hit the spot .The wife was enamoured with her breakfast in a blanket.A waghu burger didn't overly excite my son, while the daughter enjoyed her scotched egg salad. We feel there are a few issues with staffing here but this has the potential to be one of the go to places in Brisbane.More
