Dined here last Thursday and honestly have not stopped thinking about the place. the food was amazing - we had the pork belly and the lamb rump and ofcourse beer battered halloumi for entrees. but not only that the service was amazing too. It wasn't...an overly busy night but our waiters Miles and Harmony were so attentive and really made up for the atmosphere. perfect wine list and a perfect little venue tucked away in quaint Spring Hill. do yourself a favour and check it out!More

The beautiful surroundings that is a former Queenslander now the Restaurant( Kennigo Social) which is the epitome of First Class cuisine in a very casual dining atmosphere. The artist's or Executive Chef and his prolific kitchen team who are brilliant in creating dishes that are...mouth watering and moorish, we really enjoyed our 3 courses followed by a Cheese plate and 3 bottles of red wine to accompany. That was Day 1. You can't go past the Pork Tenderloin and ever so tender Lamb as choices for your dinner. Maybe starting off with a pumpkin gnocchi which is devine or as our Wonderful Miss Harmony and Bianca her protege certainly took command of not only the incredible service that was provided but also the suggestions in relation to the menu on offer. We trusted Miss Harmonys dishes that were suggested and recommended on the Chefs fantastic menu and she did not fail us. In saying that we ended up dining in Kennigo Social the entire 3 night stay. Cuisine of this calibre rivals the cuisine worthy of a Michelin star and I can assure you that its right up there with French Laundry or better Per Se in New York city. Thanks so much again to the Chefs and of course Miss Harmony and Bianca for looking after us during our 3 nights in the Restaurant that is the Kennigo Social. WE WILL BE BACK PS.Please do not also pass on the Breakfast Menu on offer also... Best Eggs Benedict...Wow... As for coffee...Andi your coffee making skills are to die for. . Please if you are a local who lives in the inner city of Spring Hill or someone visiting town for the night or two or three... Visit the Kennigo Social...at the Mantra Richmont... We can't wait to get back to what we have now renamed ..Our Local... Thank you, Thank you, Thank youMore

The food was superb, we sat facing the kitchen and managed to have a sneak peek at the chefs in action, skilful! The starters are great too, love the lamb sausage, fried chicken wings, eggplant roll.

We may not be local, but every time we come to Brisbane we know where we're going to eat. Dinner at Kennigo Social House is an experience we feel everyone should have. The food is creative and delicious and the service is prompt and friendly...- they make you feel like royalty. The $40 specials are always amazing and you can really tell that the chefs care about what's going on to the plate. The floor staff are so passionate about the food that on the 2 occasions we asked for recommendations they told us without even a moment of hesitation what their favourite dishes were and how they were made. This place needs to be so much busier for what it offers...More

The service here this morning was appalling from start to finish. No offence to our waitress, but if one needs help in the future, she should just ask for it! She had a server assistant working, or another server working with her yet my partner and...I weren't the only guests that were kept waiting. The couple sitting behind us were making jokes in the hotel elevator about how painful there dining experience was after we finished. It took ages to get a menu first of all, (maybe have the outside tables set with menus to avoid longer wait times in the future) our drinks took way longer than they should have (flat white, and an OJ) All I ordered was 1 eggs benedict and it took over 30 minutes, just a solo dish with soft eggs. I could see via the open kitchen there werent many bills on the board. The toast my benny was served on was so stale as if like it had been made when my dish was rung in. And the rest of the dish was made 30 minutes later. We were sitting in the patio, with a view inside and with the open kitchen I could see the couple sitting behind us meals sitting under the heat lamp for ages.I understand times may be busier than others but none of the tables outside had cutlery when the food finally arrived.. service could have been way more efficient for sure. It wouldn't have been so bad if the food was worth the wait, but it was honestly mediocre at best. The hollandaise was quite flavourless and the toast was really stale. I asked for the bill immediately when I got my meal and after dropping it off, (which was the only prompt part of our experience) she never came back at all. When I went inside to seek out anybody to help settle my bill I nearly had to walk into the back to track someone down. People sitting outside on the patio could have easily walked out without paying the server was so absent. I have no idea where a manager was the whole time, but they should have had some sort of an idea about what was going on, on the floor and been there to support their staff. All in all, wouldn't go back and would recommend dining somewhere else for breakfast.More
