The vegetarian wrap was very vinegary in flavour. The chips were cold and slightly raw. We found the table which was situated undercover was warmer than the chips. Not overly fresh and the outback burger was very average. Couldn't recommend the Pioneer Kitchen. The Pioneer Lookout was worth calling past.

We stayed at the resort and spent all three nights in this bar it was that good. Most importantly it was the only bar in the resort with draft beer. It was cold, which is essential,in the heat and dry of the out back! The BBQ is great, pick your own meat, they did beef, kangaroo, emu, and I think... More

Choose your own meat to Bar BQ with salad or can just have the salad bar, great for either a quick meal or to have a relaxing evening listening to the free live music while dining there.

The Outback a pioneer had different options for eating. The BBQ option is good value - pick your meat - anything from chicken to Emu. Cook it yourself on one of the many BBQ plates and then help yourself to the generous salad bar, including a great apple and peach crumble!

Stopped here for lunch on a day trip from Alice Springs to Uluru. The food was typical fried/fast food fare. Burgers, fish and chips, etc...nothing special at all. Basically you get what you pay for.

This idea is genius. You buy the sort of meat you like from sausage to steak and you can BBQ it yourself. The sides for this meal are all you can eat from the buffet. So everybody gets his favoured cooked to his liking and sides one really wants.

Great concept for visitors to Australia. There is plenty of space to find a seat, the night we were there was entertainment. The meat was great, but quite pricey. Unfortunately some of the salads were poor. .
