Fantastic dinner with amazing food and service! It’s definitely one of the best kept secrets as far as French restaurants go in Sydney. We had scallops and wagyu tartar for entrees, salmon and steak for mains and shared grilled mushrooms as a side (very generous...portion) and a chocolate fondant for dessert. The food was very impressive with good portions and healthy. The service was prompt and efficient. The ambiance was nice without being overly pretentious or formal. I can highly recommend it.More

Dined at Le Petit Flot a couple of weeks ago while staying in the Tank Stream Hotel where it is located. We thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of our 3 course dinner - nothing disappointed us !! As Rydges members we received a discount as an...added bonus. The staff were friendly and efficient and we look forward to returning next time we are in Sydney and trying other items on the menu. Highly recommended !!More

Le Petit Flot is a French restaurant/wine bar upstairs in the Tank stream hotel. We went there for lunch and the dishes were absolutely amazing. My daughter had the wyagu tartare and said it was the best she had ever tasted. We also tried the...salmon and beans wth almond flakes. It was perfect. The skin was crisp like crackling and the salmon was just exquisite. For mains we tried the wyagu steak and my Dad the beef cheeks. The steak was tender and also prepared to perfection. The beef cheeks very flavoursome. We tried the sides of mashed potato, grilled cauliflower and Japanese mushrooms. The chef did such a perfect job of everything. It was all just right and so flavoursome. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu and will have to go back to try the other dishes.More

Excellent food, very ruth and atrocious service, obviously the maitre d'hotel was not happy to be working on this monday night and wanted his 5 customers out very quickly, absolutely no sense of hospitality, very regrettable attitude. We've been eating at Le petit flot at...least 15 times last year and once this year, always found their food superb, so sad they allow poor quality and badly trained staff to manage the restaurant, it kills a good business and destroy all the good work of the Kitchen.More

We were a group of six and had reserved because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. All our dishes were excellent and we would gladly return. I have already recommended Le Petit Flot to other friends. Service was good, servings...were generous - the delicious side dishes were an absolute steal at $8 - and the wine list was very reasonable. Happy chappies all round!More

We have been here a few times and never disappointed. Tonight brought family from New Caledonia for a farewell dinner. Entrees were carpaccio, sweet prawns, and French onion soup - all were excellent. Then mains were beef cheeks, half rack of lamb, and a trio...of meats, with three sides. Surpassed the experience of entrees. Paired with a Barossa Shiraz. For the quality of the meal, and the efficient discreet service, this place is very well priced. The menu is pretty extensive - ten entrees, six mains (plus two share mains) - so something for all tastes. Highly recommend a visit.More

This establishment is on the second floor of a downtown hotel, which we normally wouldn’t consider. However, after reading comments on TripAdvisor we decided to give it a try. We were a party of eight people who have very high standards. We were not disappointed....Although we had a limited holiday menu to choose from, everything was delicious! The portions are not huge, however the taste is. The pricing is extremely reasonable, including the wine list. Very nice dinner!More

Wonderful menu with classic French dishes and some surprises. The chicken liver pate was a perfect texture; rack of lamb pink and tender; sabayon eggy/creamy with strawberries and mango sorbet - excellent. Service was attentive and the waiter happy to answer our questions. Just one...issue - there were only three of us plus one solitary diner. Consequently the long elegant room was totally lacking in ambience, atmosphere, the lovely sound of people enjoying a meal in a communal space.More
