We first visited Sydney in the mid 1990's and stumbled across Thai Nesia, whilst staying in Darlinghurst. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal back then and strangely enough whenever we talk about Sydney, always mention this little Thai restaurant in Darlinghurst we loved. We've been to...Sydney a few times since then, and enjoy Thai Nesia each time we travel and visited again this week with our 9 y/o son. Thankfully nothing has changed and it's as wonderful as ever, with delicious meals and friendly service. Not much more we can say, but we can't recommend Thai Nesia enough and even though this visit we stayed in North Sydney for the first time ever, on our first night, rather than eat in North Sydney, we thought it a must to catch the train a few stops to ensure we experience Thai Nesia on our first night. It was nice to hear it's still the original owners, although the waiters wouldn't have been born when we first visited this beautiful restaurant. Now I'm feeling old LOL. Can't wait to see you next time we're up from Melbourne.More

Thai Nesia is outstanding. We’ve been there several times over the past 2 1/2 years (we live 500 km away) and on every occasion we cannot fault it & we can be demanding & critical of ordinary, don’t care operations. Not here, they always serve...quality, fresh produce, no compromises, prepared beautifully, every dish with a unique flavour. Service is also attentive, polite & friendly. It’s our favourite go to restaurant, well done Thai Nesia!More

Went here for dinner with my husband on a Saturday night. It was recommended by my hotel’s concierge as a BYO restaurant. Trip Advisor reviews were good - Glad we made reservations because it was quite busy. The dining area is a small space for...such a popular spot, but it is comfortably decorated. We had two appetizers, Betel leaf with prawn (amazing) and octopus (so good) as well as two main courses, duck curry (spicy!) and holy basil crispy salmon (yum-perfectly cooked) We were so happy with all of our choices. Everything was delicious. The prawns were an absolute shocker they were so good. There is a small corkage fee. The toilets are upstairs & clean. The staff was quick, efficient & friendly. There is a bottle shop next door to get your BYO. I’d highly recommend this restaurant, although make reservations!More

This family Thai restaurant was a great find. Excellent food, pleasant ambience and great service. Was there on a rainy Sunday evening and it was packed: almost all locals. A small, but excellent menu with some unusual dishes. BYO with a small grog shop next...door. Don't think you would be disappointed.More

Located strategically at oxford street, this restaurant offers various Thai - Indonesian dishes in the menu. Small venue but good ambience, attentive staff, and most importantly great tasty food. Couldn’t disappoint us. Will definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, with unusual options that aren’t the same as every Thai restaurant. Someone had recommended visiting because years ago they had spectacular food, and it hasn’t changed a bit. The people I were with are all big Thai food fans as...am I, with one saying the massaman beef was possibly one of the best variations she’s ever had. It was unusually fragrant and had a lighter/runnier texture which the table seemed to love. The seafood options I tried were all fantastic. I highly recommend the soft shell crab and the (I may have the wrong name) lemongrass prawns were fabulous, once again they weren’t what you would typically have at a Thai restaurant. The serving staff are lovely and there is a bubbly environment- unlike some places where everyone is hushed there’s plenty of chatter and an indescribable buzz in the air, which makes for a really pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend visiting, if only for a once off to try a unique (and delicious) approach to Thai Nesia’s cooking.More

This restaurant has been around for a very long time, so clearly they continue to do things right. Popular with locals, cosy and warm. Suitable table layouts for singles, couples through to any group size. Caring and helpful staff. A wonderful menu selection with a...few surprise dish styles. Lovely flavours in all our meals which area good serve size. Definitely worth another visit. Only BYO, bottle shop close by.More

Good clean restaurant, meals at the right price and very tasty.Tuesday night but a lot of customers ,this did not impact on service or the quality and tatse of the meals, happy to recommend the restaurant and I an sure we will eat there again...because of the location as we had been at the Hospital close by. It is BYO but pub nearly next door. The satay was great and the Roast Duck was to die for , not to spicy but lots of the right flavours and a significant amount of duck.More

What a great restaurant. The place was packed and very noisy so don’t expect a quiet intimate meal. Fabulous Thai food. BYO which was fabulous - bottle shop right next door!
